Three Quarters for Greenstein

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Barry Greenstein opened from late position with a bet of 14,000, and was called by the player in the cut-off. The flop came down {4-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}, before Greenstein placed out a continuation bet of 20,000. His opponent made the call as the {5-Hearts} fell on the turn. Greenstein quickly checked, as his opponent confidently bet out 55,000. Greenstein then moved all in for 152,000, and was called, as both players tabled their cards.

Greenstein: {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}
Opponent: {3-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

The board ran out {4-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, to see Greenstein take three quarters of the pot, after splitting the low, with the same hand as his opponent.

Hearts Get Green The Double

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Perry Green raised it up to 18,000, and an opponent in late position raised pot to 63,000. Green made the call, and the flop came down {10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}. The action was so quick that we couldn't tell who bet pot, and who called, but the point is, the last of Green's money got into the middle.

Green: {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

Green was drawing to the nut low, but that's about all he had going for him. The turn was an interesting card, the {7-Hearts}. This gave Green the nut flush draw, and his opponent trip sevens. Well the river was the {10-Hearts}, and Green picked up that flush, besting his opponent's trip sevens. After scooping that giant pot, he is now up to over 300,000.

Harwood Doubles Through Simao

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Action started with a middle position player raising to 13,000, and Joao Simao calling from the small blind. Loni Harwood then three bet all in for her last 33,000, and the original raiser tank folded. Simao quickly called, and the cards were tabled.

Harwood: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Simao: {a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}

The flop came down {9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}, and it was not looking good for Harwood. However, that all changed when the {k-Spades} hit the turn. All she had to do now was fade the final eight in the deck, and she did just that, as the {2-Hearts} hit the river. Harwood, who was one of the shortest stacks coming back from dinner, is now up to 80,000.

Feel the Force

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Leif Force was all in for his last 55,000 pre-flop, and was up against a player who had him covered.

Force: {3-Spades}{A-Spades}{4-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}
Opponent: {K-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}

Force would take the pot, as the board ran out {6-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} to see him move back up to 115,000 in chips.

Simao With the Beat

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Joao Simao has just sent a player to the rail after a lucky river saw him scoop in a big pot.

His opponent was all in pre-flop holding {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{3-Clubs} against his {2-Spades}{A-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{J-Spades}. The board ran out {3-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{J-Spades}, to see Simao hit a flush on the river to take the high, after securing the low on the flop.

"Wow! He had beat me," was repeated several times by his opponent, who looked very upset after the completion of the hand.

Giannetti Bounced Just Before Dinner

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Matt Giannetti made it 9,000 from early position, and action folded to Dave Brooker in the big blind. He announced pot, a bet of 39,000, and after about a minute of thought, Giannetti called, leaving himself just 26,000 behind. Both players checked the flop of {3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}, and when the turn brought the {8-Spades}, Brooker announced pot. Giannetti rechecked his hole cards, then dropped chips in for the call.

Giannetti: {a-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Brooker: {a-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

Brooker had the nut low, and also had him beat for the high with ace-queen. However, Giannetti could pair up his hand, catch a nine or five for a straight, or a spade for the flush. Unfortunately for Giannetti, the {7-Clubs} on the river was a complete brick, and he was eliminated just minutes before dinner.
