We happened upon the action on fifth street just as Peter Brownstein, who has two WSOP cashes so far this summer, got the last of his chips in against Ivan Schertzer. Sixth and seventh were run out, and when all was said and done, Schertzer made a 9-6-5-4-3 low to best Brownstein's Q-6-3-2-A low.
Brownstein exited in 19th place for $5,752 and his third cash of the summer.
Esther Taylor raised with an after Brent Keller completed from her left. Everyone else folded, and the two got enough raises in to put the last of Taylor's chips in.

After all the cards were out, Taylor had double-paired her four and five, and was left with only a jack-low. Keller made a nine-eight, which eliminated Taylor in 20th.
Stuart Rutter completed and then called when WSOP bracelet winner Randy Ohel put in a raise. The latter then bet on fourth, the former called and then Rutter led out on fifth. Ohel not only called that bet but called ones on sixth and seventh as well.
"Eighty-six," Rutter announced, which prompted Ohel to roll over for a 7-6-5-4-2 low and the win. A disgusted looking Rutter sent his cards to the muck unseen.
Jason Sackler, with 4,500 remaining, completed under the gun with a , and Scott Epstein called with a . Brent Keller came along with a . Sackler ended up all in against only Epstein on fifth. We weren't able to get all the cards down, but Epstein ended up making a seven-low, which Sackler couldn't beat with his eight-seven. Sackler finished 21st.
Rick Fuller completed and Frankie O'Dell made the call. The lead changed back and forth over the next three streets and the man with it bet each time. A call followed and then both players checked seventh. O'Dell revealed for a 10-8-6-4-2 low, and it was good as Fuller picked up his cards and sent them to the muck.
We picked up the action on fifth street with three players checking to Esther Taylor, who bet with a jack-high board. Rick Fuller check-raised, Frankie O'Dell called, Brent Keller folded and Taylor made the call.

Fuller bet again after getting a queen, while his opponents paired up. They both called. He bet seventh, and O'Dell quickly folded. Taylor went into the tank for a few minutes. Finally, O'Dell called a clock. Taylor called after about 30 more seconds before calling. Fuller showed for a ten-eight. Taylor mucked her hand, and both she and O'Dell are dangerously low on chips.
"Wow, we're stuck at 21," the tournament director whispered to us. He was referring to the fact that action has slowed to a halt here in Level 17. Indeed, there have been very fews hands of note with most failing to get past fourth street.
Obviously something will have to give, and we'll be there when it happens.
