Marchese Folds to Flop Check-Raise

Level 6 : 200/400, 0 ante

Tom Marchese opened to 800 from the cutoff and the big blind defended his big blind with a call. The pair saw the {3-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop come into view and the big blind checked to Marchese. A quick re-check of his cards was required before Marchese bet 1,200. The big blind immediately check-raised to 3,500 and Marchese released his hand.

Three Aces Good for Zaichenko

Level 6 : 200/400, 0 ante

After a series of bets and raises, Andrey Zaichenko was all in against two players. One he had covered, the other had him covered.

Zaichenko: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Opponent 1: {k-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Opponent 2: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}{10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}

Zaichenko's three aces turned into Broadway as the board ran out {q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}, and he more than doubled to 23,000 chips.

Plenty of Extras Being Given Away At This Year's WSOP

Level 6 : 200/400, 0 ante

The buzz inside the walls of the Rio extends beyond just the tournaments on the 2013 World Series of Poker schedule. Online poker in Nevada is a very, very hot topic right now, and WSOP.com is making a lot of noise.

While the site has yet to launch, you can head to the Lambada Room of the Rio or look for one of the beautiful and friendly WSOP.com ladies walking the hallways to sign up for a free, personal WSOP.com online poker account. This is a great way to get a jump on the site's registration, and plenty of people have already taken this opportunity.

What's more is that the WSOP will be hosting daily raffles for everyone that has taken the time to register for WSOP.com at the Rio. What can you win? Plenty of fantastic prizes including 36 WSOP seats!

Players 21 years of age and older who sign up for a WSOP.com account will automatically be entered into the “36-Seat Giveaway” where a randomly-selected winner will win a seat into the next day’s first WSOP gold bracelet event. One of the events eligible in this promotion is the $111,111 One Drop High Roller No-Limit Hold’em tournament that is expected to feature a $10,000,000 prize pool and allow you to play poker with the biggest names in the game. In total, $182,333 in WSOP seats, including a seat to the WSOP Main Event, are being given away during this one-of-a-kind WSOP.com promotion.

In addition to the 36-Seat Giveaway, a “Hot Seat” promotion will allow any player who signs up for a WSOP.com online account and wears their WSOP.com patch on their chest at the table while playing an event to be randomly selected to receive 500 bonus dollars deposited directly into their WSOP.com online account once the site has received all regulatory approvals and launches.

With 62 WSOP gold bracelet events and three winners promised for the Main Event, this promotion includes $32,000 worth of value to those participating.

2005 World Champ Doubles Opponent

Level 6 : 200/400, 0 ante
Joe Hachem
Joe Hachem

A player opened in early position, 2005 World Series of Poker Main Event Champion Joe Hachem re-raised the pot on his direct left, and the action folded back to the player who moved all in for around 5,000 or so. Hachem instantly called.

Hachem: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Opponent: {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}

The {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{9-Clubs} flop didn't improve either hand, but the {k-Spades} on the turn gave Hachem's opponent a gut-shot straight draw. Only a jack would keep the player alive, and the river was indeed a jack - the {j-Hearts}.

It took everyone at the table, including Hachem, a brief second to realize what happened.

"This game is crazy," one player finally said, prompting Hachem to let out a laugh.

Kamran Wins a Monster Pot; Now Chip Leader

Level 6 : 200/400, 0 ante

We have just seen a massive pot go down, easily the largest of the tournament so far. It was a three-way all in pot, the chip going in on a {3-Clubs}{K-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop. Here's how the hands looked.

Kamran: {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{A-}{5-}
Opponent 1: {7-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}
Opponent 2: {5-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}{A-}

Kamran was the favorite but he had to dodge outs to a straight. And dodge he did, as the turn and river fell {9-Diamonds} and {10-Spades} to catapult Kamran to the top of the chip counts and send two players to the rail empty handed.
