"This is the One You Want to Win"

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 0 ante
Ludovic Lacay - "This is the one you want to win"
Ludovic Lacay - "This is the one you want to win"

Ludovic Lacay raised to 2,000 in middle position, Patrick Ruth, Steven Loube, and Attilio Donato called, and Jae Won Hur moved all in for 11,600. Every player called except Donato.

"This is the one you want to win," Lacay said, grinning.

The dealer fanned {3-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{7-Spades}, and Lacay moved all in for 28,600. Ruth shot him a stare, then opted to call. Loube folded.

Hur: {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Lacay: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Ruth: {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}

"Eight is the best card!" Lacay exclaimed. "Eight of clubs!"

The turn was not an eight, rather it was a big red brick - the {2-Diamonds}. The river wasn't an eight either, but the {2-Clubs} made Lacay's flush, and the Frenchman gave a hearty fist pump.

Hur hit the rail, Ruth fell to 75,000, and Lacay more than doubled to 110,000.

Madsen Gets the Rest from Lacay

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 0 ante
Ludovic Lacay - Eliminated
Ludovic Lacay - Eliminated

Ludovic Lacay and Patrick Ruth checked on a flop of {3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. Jeff Madsen tossed out 8,200, and only Lacay called.

The turn was the {q-Clubs}, Lacay moved all in for 28,700, and Madsen tank-called.

Lacay: {6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}
Madsen: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{j-Spades}{8-Hearts}

Lacay had straight and flush draws, but the {j-Diamonds} on the river was a brick. The Frenchman quickly stood up from the table and wished the players good luck before bolting out of the tournament area.

Madsen, the 2006 Player of the Year, shipped the pot and now sits with 145,000 chips.

Also joining Lacay on the rail is Chris Bell.

Bleznick Busts Gruissem and Pantaleo Punts His Boss - It's Bubble Time

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante
Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

Philipp Gruissem was all in and at risk preflop with {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{3-Clubs} against Jared Bleznick's {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. After the hand, Jamieson Pickering admitted to folding aces.

The board rolled out {4-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, and Gruissem was eliminated. While she was pushing, Bleznick tried to tip the dealer $100, but the dealer obviously refused.

"Jared," Josh Arieh said sternly from an adjacent table.

Arieh went on to explain that it's bad form to do what he was doing, and even if he could tip, it would be dispersed amongst all of the dealers. Phil Hellmuth chimed in as well, and while Bleznick listened to Arieh, he fired back a few words at Hellmuth.

"This guy folded aces," Bleznick said, pointing at Pickering. "That's something you would do."

Over at another table, Giuseppe Pantaleo, a member of Team Ivey, eliminated his boss. Phil Ivey moved all in for around 20,000 with the nut flush draw on a flop of {k-}{q-}{8-} with two clubs. Pantaleo called with {k-}{q-}{x-}{x-}, and held.

We are now on the exact bubble, and will play hand-for-hand until another player is eliminated.

May Your Cards Be Live and Your Pots Be Monsters (Like Sexton's)

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante
Mike Sexton
Mike Sexton

Mike Sexton just earned a double-knockout and a significant boost to his chip stack, propelling him near the chip lead of Scott Clements.

The hand saw all of the chips go in on a {7-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop, then the {Q-Spades} turn and {3-Spades} river followed.

Sexton held {8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}, having flopped a wrap straight draw and gotten there on fifth street. Sergey Pevzner had {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and ended with two pair. And Timo Pfutzenreuter was also eliminated in the hand, his cards mucked prior to our arrival.

Sexton now sits with nearly 300,000, with Will Failla having just been moved to his left and Phil Hellmuth another seat over.

Madsen Busts Two; Up Above a Half a Million

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante
Jeff Madsen
Jeff Madsen

After eliminating Eduardo Marra in a massive pot where Marra flopped top set and Madsen flopped a flush draw, making said flush on the river, Madsen recorded another knockout against Duke Miller.

It all started when William Black limped in from late position, Madsen called behind him, Jared Bleznick called Joshua Ladines called, and Miller raised to 30,000 out of the blinds. Only Madsen and Bleznick called.

The flop came down {j-Spades}{2-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, Miller moved all in for his last 3,000, Madsen raised the pot, and Bleznick folded.

Miller: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}
Madsen: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}

The {9-Hearts} turned, giving Madsen a flush draw and Miller a set of nines. Miller needed the board to pair on the river to survive, but the {6-Hearts} wasn't enough, and he was eliminated.

Madsen then picked up another hand against Jason DeWitt, and now sits with nearly 600,000 chips.

Joshua Ladines - 28th Place

Joshua Ladines was all in and at risk for his last 130,000 on a flop of {2-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} against Jeff Madsen. Ladines tabled {j-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades}, and Madsen flipped over {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}.

"Run it twice?" Ladines asked, grinning.

Ladines bricked out as the turn and river came {q-Clubs}, {a-Diamonds} respectively, and was eliminated in 28th place. We are down to three tables and will bring you a redraw shortly.

Douglas Corning opened to 12,000 in late position, Anthony Zinno called, and Glen Altham re-raised the pot, moving all in. Corning re-potted, and Zinno folded.

Phil Hellmuth Eliminated in 26th Place ($11,915)

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante
Phil Hellmuth - 26th Place
Phil Hellmuth - 26th Place

Joni Jouhkimainen raised to 12,000 from under the gun, Phil Hellmuth called on his direct left, Jarred Solomon called in the cutoff, and Jeff Madsen defended his big blind.

The dealer fanned {8-Hearts}{q-Spades}{5-Hearts}, Madsen and Jouhkimainen both checked, and Hellmuth fired out 40,000. Solomon folded, Madsen raised the pot, and Jouhkimainen folded. Hellmuth re-potted, going all in, and Madsen called.

"Please tell me you have a set," Hellmuth said, showing {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} for a set of queens.

"Two pair and a flush draw," Madsen responded, fanning {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}.

The turn was the {6-Hearts}, giving Madsen a heart flush, and Hellmuth needed the board to pair on the river. The {j-Hearts} didn't give Hellmuth a full house, however, and he was eliminated.

Cue the blowup.

"F***in' idiot morons," Hellmuth said, standing. "F***in' play all day for this. Worst f***in' player ever."

He started to move away from the table, and as he passed Madsen he added more.

"How do you even have all of those chips?"

From an adjacent table, two players jabbed Hellmuth once he was out of earshot.

"There goes the last no-limit hold'em player," one joked.

"Yeah," the other responded. "Field just got tougher."

Jonathan Duhamel - 24th Place
Jonathan Duhamel - 24th Place

Ryan Chapman, Jonathan Duhamel, and Jarred Solomon took a flop of {10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades}. Chapman checked, Duhamel bet the pot, and Solomon folded. Chapman called all in for 77,500.

Chapman: {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Duhamel: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

Chapman held as the turn and river came {5-Clubs}, {5-Spades} respectively, leaving Duhamel with just 10,000 chips.

The next hand, Duhamel was in the small blind, and Christian Harder raised to 12,000. Solomon called, Duhamel called all in for 7,000, and Jeff Madsen defended his big blind. All three players checked when the flop came {4-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}, and Madsen led out for 23,000 when the {a-Hearts} turned. Everybody folded.

Duhamel: {a-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades}
Madsen: {9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

Duhamel could make a full house wit an ace or a four on the river, but the {9-Clubs} bricked off and the 2010 Main Event champion was eliminated.
