Reddy Does Not Want a Nine or Four

Level 16 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Rodney Brown and Sumanth Reddy were involved in a big pot. The flop read out {7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{6-Spades} when Reddy put out a large bet. Brown re-raised 32,900 more which was all in for him. Reddy struggled but eventually made the call. Reddy was surprised his {8-Clubs}{8-Spades} was ahead of Brown's {7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}. If Reddy could dodge the straight outs to chop or another seven, he could take a commanding chip lead going three handed.

The turn however was good news to Brown as it brought the {4-Clubs}. The meaningless river of {7-Clubs} meant that both players had the straight.

Reddy joked, "I thought I was behind. I was hoping for a nine or four." Little did he know that was the last thing he wanted besides a seven. The players took their money back with Brown taking his 60,000 back and Reddy took back his 155,000.
