Two Short Stacks Double

Level 18 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

We just witnessed two all in at heads up tables.

The first was between Sumanth Reddy and David Gonia. The money went in and Reddy was crushing with {a-}{k-} and Gonia was at risk with {a-}{j-}.

Everything changed when the flop came {a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}. Gonia would only need to dodge the king to survive. The turn solidified his double up with the {j-Hearts}. The meaningless {2-Spades} on the river brought Gonia back in the game with 183,000. He still trailed Reddy who went down to 263,000 after the hand.

The second hand had short stacked Tobias Wenker {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} up against Matthew Schwarmann's {a-}{q-}. The cooler situation ran out in Wenker's favor and he took the lead in the match with 343,000 to 117,000 of Schwarmann.
