Karim Pot Size River Bets With Kings

Level 15 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Bret Martin and Zohair Karim took a flop of {q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Diamonds}. Karim bet 7,300 and was called by Martin. On the turn both players checked a {j-Spades}. The river came the {6-Clubs}. It was on Karim who started shuffling chips for quite sometime. Then with a crooked armed movement Karim bet out 20,900. This was a pot size bet. Martin decided to call and find out Karim's holdings.

Karim showed the {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} for a pair of kings which was good for the win. Martin went down to 38,000 while Karim went up to over 100,000.

Nacho Makes the Right Call

Level 15 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Nacho Barbero
Nacho Barbero

Andreas Hoivold opened with a raise to 2,300. Nacho Barbero called before Andrew Teng reraised to 8,700. Only Barbero called.

The flop came down {10-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{7-Spades} and both players checked. The turn was the {K-Diamonds} and both players checked again. On the {K-Spades} river Barbero put out a bet of 12,300.

Teng went into the tank and he was there for nearly three minutes. Finally he grabbed a stack of chips and made a reraise to 25,000 even.

This put Barbero into the tank. "Could you have ace king?" he asked. "That's the only hand I'm beating." Eventually Barbero threw in several chips signifying a call.

"If you have a straight you're good," Teng said, turning over his {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} for trips. Barbero did have a straight, he turned over {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} for a a turned broadway straight and he scooped the big pot.

Baldwin Sees a Flush

Level 15 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Eric Baldwin fired a bet of 7,200 after an opponent checked to him on an {8-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} board. His opponent thought for a bit before calling. The river was an {8-Diamonds}, completing a diamond flush possibility and pairing the board. Baldwin's opponent checked, and Baldwin checked behind him. Baldwin's opponent showed {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}, and Baldwin mucked.

Level 15 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Chris Johnson jammed 10,500 from late position, and Riley Fuller made the call from the big blind.

Johnson: {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

The flop bore fruit for both players: {9-Spades}{j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. Fuller had flopped a pair, but Johnson had an open-ended straight draw and a flush draw. The turn came {3-Hearts}, completing Johnson's flush and ending the hand.

Peters Eliminates Petrangelo and Assumes Chip Lead

Level 14 : 400/800, 100 ante
David Peters
David Peters

Action began on Nick Petrangelo who opened to 1,600. He was called by David Peters in the next seat over. Michael McNeil, Gal Yifrach, and Matt Berkey all called as well.

The flop came and all five players checked. The turn was the and Yifrach opened with a bet of 3,500. Berkey folded. Both Petrangelo and Peters called. McNeil grabbed chips and looked as if he might call, but then folded.

The river was the and Yifrach led again, this time for 5,000. Petrangelo called. Peters took his time and counted out a reraise. He made it 14,000, enough to put Petrangelo all in. Yifrach folded.

After thinking about it for a while and geting a count of the bet, Petrangelo put the rest of his chips in the pot. Petrangelo showed for a full house, but Peters showed for a slightly better full house. With that, Peters now has a massive lead over everyone at his table.

"ElkY" Out

Level 14 : 400/800, 100 ante

Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier came back from break on a relatively short stack with only about 15,000 chips, and now he's gone. We walked by his table and the players had all spread out a little bit more. ElkY's blonde hair was no where to be found.
