Steve Landfish Eliminated in 10th Place ($16,211)

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante
Steve Landfish - 10th Place
Steve Landfish - 10th Place

After tripling to 50,000 it appear Steve Landfish might make a comeback here in Level 20. That proved not to be the case as he was just eliminated by Todd Witteles in tenth place.

It happened when Witteles raised under the gun and Landfish three-bet. Witteles pushed back with a four-bet and Landfish made the call, bringing about a {j-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} flop. Witteles bet, Landfish raised all in and Witteles made a quick call.

Witteles: {K-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Landfish: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Landfish held a big pocket pair, but Witteles' proved to be bigger. The {J-Spades} turn gave both players a full house, but Witteles' jacks full of kings reigned supreme. Landfish was drawing dead, and after the {5-Hearts} was put out on the river, he exited the unofficial final table in tenth place.

With that, the tournament is down to the official final table of nine. The remaining players are relocating to the ESPN Main Stage where official chip counts will be documented and introductions made. Cards should be back in the air shortly.

Nassif Doubles Through Bardah

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Ronnie Bardah raised to 16,000 from the cutoff and then called when Gabriel Nassif three-bet to 24,000 from the button. Bardah check-called a bet on the {6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{7-Hearts} flop and then checked for a second time on the {J-Diamonds} turn. Nassif kept the pressure on with a bet of 16,000, Bardah check-raised to 32,000 and Nassif three-bet all in. Bardah called with the {k-Hearts}{j-Spades} for a pair of jacks, but his king kicked was no good as Nassif rolled over the {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}. The {9-Hearts} river didn't change a thing and Nassif's ace kicker propelled him to a double.

Jan Sjavik Eliminated in 11th Place ($16,211)

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante
Jan Sjavik - 11th Place
Jan Sjavik - 11th Place

Jan Sjavik raised from the button only to have Ronnie Bardah three-bet from the small blind. Sjavik made the call and it was heads-up action to the {q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} flop. Bardah bet, Sjavik called and the {K-Diamonds} turned. Again Bardah bet, but this time Sjavik folded and preserved his last 22,000.

In the very next hand, Dom Denotaristefani raised and Sjavik moved all in from the cutoff. Bardah called from the big blind, Denotaristefani came along and then both those players checked it down as the board ran out {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}.

Denotaristefani tabled the {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} for jacks and sevens, which topped Bardah's {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and Sjavik's {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}.

Denotaristefani Cracks Aces

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Dom Denotaristefani raised and then called when Jan Sjavik three-bet from the button. Denotaristefani checked the {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop, Sjavik bet and Denotaristefani woke up with a check-raise. Sjavik called and then called bets from Denotaristefani on both the {K-Spades} turn and {J-Diamonds} river.

Sjavik turned over the {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} for aces and kings, but it was no good as Denotaristefani had rivered Broadway with the {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}.

"Of Course you Have a King"

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Steve Landfish raised and was three-bet by Brian Aleksa on the button. The blinds folded, Landfish called and the flop came down {4-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. Landfish check-called a bet and then did the same on the {K-Spades} river. Both players then checked the {A-Diamonds} and Aleksa tabled the {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} for a pair of kings.

"Of course you have a king," a seemingly frustrated Landfish said as he went to muck his cards. Landfish didn't release his hand right away and held onto it for an awkwardly long time, but eventually he let go.
