Set for Bardah

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Four players saw the flop come {3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}. Andre Akkari checked, another player bet, Greg Mueller raised, and Ronnie Bardah made it three bets. Only Mueller called, and the turn was the {q-Spades}. Bardah bet, and Mueller called, and then Bardah bet and Mueller called again when the {7-Spades} fell on the river. Bardah turned over {5-Clubs}{5-Spades} for a flopped set, and Mueller mucked.

With that pot in his stack, Bardah climbs to 75,000 in chips.

Dehkharghani Sends Buchanan to the Rail

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Action folded to Brian Tate, who hails from Chandler, Arizona, and he raised to 2,400 from the button. Canada's Shawn Buchanan, who only had 1,600 remaining, called off from the small blind and then Ray Dehkharghani three-bet from the big blind. Tate called that bet and it was heads-up action for the side pot headed to the {5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop.

Dehkharghani bet, Tate called and the dealer burned and turned the {J-Hearts}. Again Dehkharghani bet, but this time Tate got rid of his hand. Dehkharghani tabled the {j-Spades}{q-Spades} for top pair and Buchanan, who was drawing dead, flipped over the {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} before grabbing his things and beelining it out of the tournament area. The meaningless {10-Clubs} was run out on the river for good measure and Dehkharghani was pushed the pot.

Meanwhile, Brian Meinders and Andrey Zaichenko, who were both nursing short stacks, have been eliminated from the tournament.

Kwon Chipping Up

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Mohsin Charania and Chris Kwon were heads up, and the flop came {7-Spades}{a-Hearts}{3-Spades}. After a bet and a call, both players checked the {a-Spades} on the turn. Then Kwon bet out when the {10-Hearts} fell on the river. Charania called, and Kwon tabled {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for trip aces. Charania mucked, and Kwon took the pot.

After the hand, Charania sits with 42,000 in front of him, while Kwon is up to 61,000.

Bill Chen raised from the button, and Todd Witteles called from the big blind. The flop was {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, and Chen bet after Witteles checked. Witteles called, and the dealer turned the {8-Spades}. Witteles checked again, and Chen bet. This time Witteles raised. Chen thought for a minute, then released his hand, and Witteles raked in the pot. He's now up to 87,000 in chips, while Chen drops to 19,500.

Liu vs. Bonomo

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

J.J. Liu raised preflop, and the only caller was Justin Bonomo in the big blind. The flop came {5-Spades}{a-Spades}{3-Spades}, and Liu bet out. Bonomo made it two bets, Liu called, and the dealer turned the {8-Diamonds}. Liu check-called Bonomo's bet, and then the river brought the {2-Diamonds}. Liu checked, and Bonomo bet again. This time Liu raised. Bonomo hesitated for a few moments, but elected to call. Liu turned over {10-Spades}{9-Spades} for a flopped flush, and Bonomo mucked his cards.

Cowboys for Cheong

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

After Ray Dehkharghani opened for 2,000, Joseph Cheong three-bet to 3,000 from the big. Dehkharghani called and then led out on the {4-Spades}{6-Spades}{j-Diamonds} flop. Cheong responded with a raise to 2,000, Dehkharghani three-bet to 3,000 and Cheong four-bet all in for just 300 more. Dehkharghani called and the cards were turned up.

Dehkharghani: {j-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Cheong: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Dehkharghani had flopped top pair but it was still behind the pocket kings of Cheong. Neither the {2-Spades} turn nor {7-Spades} river influenced the hand and Cheong doubled through.

Meanwhile, Pat Pezzin has been eliminated from the tournament.

Meinders Up Against Ace-King (Twice)

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Jesse Martin raised under the gun, and Brian Meinders in the big blind was the only caller. Meinders checked when the flop came {a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, then called when Martin bet. He check-called again on the {8-Clubs} turn and the {6-Diamonds} river. Martin turned over {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} for top pair-top kicker, and Meinder mucked his cards. He said afterwards that he had an ace with a weaker kicker. After the hand, Meinders had only 3,500 in front of him

On the very next hand, Joseph Cheong raised from under the gun, and Meinders three-bet from the small blind. Cheong re-raised, and Meinders called for the last of his chips. Cheong held {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}, and Meinders had {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}. The board ran out {2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{7-Clubs}, and Meinders more than doubled up. After the series of hands, he had 9,000 in chips.
