Dorneles Neto Getting Stronger

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Joao Dorneles Neto raised from the small blind and Mathew Moore went all in from the big. Dorneles Neto called with {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} and was ahead of Moore's {k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}.

The board ran out {6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{9-Hearts} and Doreneles Neto's hand held to eliminate Moore, just a week following his 2nd-place finish in Event #30, a large field $1,000 buy-in event.

Moore Sucks Out on Yu

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Brandon Yu
Brandon Yu

We missed the preflop action, but Brandon Yu got the last of his money in preflop with {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}. He was in great shape against the {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} of Mathew Moore, but that all changed when the flop came {6-Spades}{q-Spades}{9-Clubs}. Yu was now looking for a king or running straight cards to survive, but it wasn't meant to be, as the board completed {7-Hearts} and {9-Spades}.

Yu took the bad beat very well, shaking Moore's hand, saying "Nice hand good luck everyone." Moore replied with "Sorry man I ran good against you all day," and Yu simply said "That's ok," as he gathered his things and headed to the payout desk.

American Airlines for Gates

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

The table of Garry Gates was broken at the 36 person mark, and just like he has done every time he's been moved so far in this tournament, he picked up a huge pot in one of the first hands at his new table.

We missed the exact preflop action, but we know that Gates called a shove from his opponent holding {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}. His opponent could only muster up {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. The {8-Diamonds} popped up in the window, but the rest of the flop was fairly harmless, as it came {q-Hearts}{7-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. Gates could now only lose to runner runner, and the {7-Clubs} on the turn sealed it. The meaningless river was the {7-Hearts}, and Gates picked up the huge pot to get back up to almost 436,000.
