Club Flush for Gross

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

Hand #61: There was a dead button. Timo Pfutzenreuter limped in from the cutoff, then Steve Gross made it 200,000 to go from the small blind and only Pfutzenreuter called. The flop came {9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, and when Gross fired 175,000, Pfutzenreuter folded.

Hand #62: Gross raised to 100,000 from the button to win the blinds.

Hand #63: Gross got a walk in the big blind.

Hand #64: It was a three-way limped pot that saw the first three community cards come {Q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}. Steve Gross led for 75,000 from the small blind, Salman Behbehani folded, and Timo Pfutzenreuter called. The turn was the {5-Diamonds}, and this time Gross check-called a bet from Pfutzenreuter for 125,000.

The river was the {8-Clubs}. Gross led out this time for 300,000, and after some time thinking Pfutzenreuter called. Gross tabled {K-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades} for the club flush, and Pfutzenreuter mucked.

Play Resumes; 3 Remain

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

The last three players have returned to their seats and Level 27 has begun with start-of-day chip leader Steve Gross back in first position.

Level: 27

Blinds: 25,000/50,000

Ante:

Joseph Leung Eliminated in 4th Place ($128,742)

Hand #60: On the very next hand after Goldman's elimination — and the last of Level 26 — Joseph Leung open-raised the pot from the small blind, Steve Gross repotted from the big blind, and Leung called all in for about 200,000.

Leung had {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and was in need of help versus Gross's {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. But the {Q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{Q-Spades} board gave Gross trip queens, sending Leung out in fourth.

Lee Goldman Eliminated in 5th Place ($87,890)

Lee Goldman - 5th Place
Lee Goldman - 5th Place

Hand #59: Steve Gross opened for 85,000 from under the gun, then Lee Goldman reraised pot to 315,000 from the cutoff. It folded back to Gross who reraised pot again, and Goldman called all in for about 800,000.

Gross: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Goldman: {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}

The flop came {J-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} to pair Gross's jack, but Goldman's aces were still in front and he'd also picked up a flush draw. But the {Q-Spades} turn gave Gross a second pair, and after the {9-Spades} river, Goldman was eliminated.

Hands #56-#58

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Hand #56: Timo Pfutzenreuter raised to 80,000 from the cutoff and Joseph Leung called from the button. Lee Goldman came along as well from the big blind, and the three watched as the dealer spread a {Q-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop. All checked, then the turn came the {J-Clubs}. Goldman checked again, Pfutzenreuter bet 85,000, Leung called, and Goldman folded.

The river brought the {A-Hearts}. Pfutzenreuter sat in contemplation for a short while, then carved out green (25,000) chips to bet the pot — 430,000. Leung let his hand go.

Hand #57: Steve Gross raised to 80,000, and when Goldman reraised to 280,000 from the small blind, both Salman Behbehani (big blind) and Gross got out.

Hand #58: Pfutzenreuter got a walk.

Hand #47: Pfutzenreuter raised to 80,000 from under the gun and only Goldman called from the small blind. Both checked the {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{K-Clubs} flop and {A-Spades} turn. The river brought the {K-Hearts} and an 85,000 bet from Goldman, and Pfutzenreuter took his time responding. He took a sip of his tea and waited for more than a minute, but finally folded, showing the {A-Clubs} as he did.
