Shchmelev Cruising

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

Catching the action on the turn with the board reading {Q-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{10-Hearts} we found one player betting only to have Vladimir Shchmelev raising enough to put him all in.

Shchmelev's opponent tanked for a while and stated, "don't think I'm slow-rolling, just need to think about this one!"

Eventually he would call tabling his {A-}{A-}{J-}{X-} to be trailing Shchmelev's {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Spades} for a turned straight. And when a brick landed on the river, Shchmelev would send his opponent to the rail while moving to 80,000 in chips.

Tedeschi Pushes Out Eslami

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 0 ante
Paul Tedeschi
Paul Tedeschi

On a board oh {9-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{J-Spades}{A-Hearts} Paul Tedeschi was in betting mode. There had been a bet and a call of 3,200 on the flop, a bet and a call of 3,500 on the turn, then on the river Tedeschi fired 7,700 into Eslami.

Eslami showed his {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and mucked his hand, not calling the bet. Tedeshi, quiet as always, just raked in the pot.

Fischman Falls

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 0 ante
Scott Fischman
Scott Fischman

David Baker opened with a raise from the cutoff only to have Scott Fischman three-bet all in for roughly 6,500. Baker made the call and the cards were tabled.

Baker: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs}
Fischman: {A-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades}

The flop fell {Q-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} to see Baker flop a straight, and after the {7-Spades} and {J-Spades} landed on the turn and river, Fischman was sent crashing to the rail as Baker moved to roughly 50,000 in chips.

Near Triple Up For Tom Koral

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 0 ante
Tom Koral from Day 1 of Event #46.
Tom Koral from Day 1 of Event #46.

We came to the table with the action on Andreas Hoivold. Three players, one of whom was Tom Koral, had already moved all in and Hoivold had a decision to either call or fold after having already opened the pot.

Eventually, Hoivold turned up his {K-Hearts}{J-Spades}{q-Spades}{8-Hearts} and folded his hand. Tom Koral and the other two players all turned up their hands.

Koral: {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{A-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Player 1: {A-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{10-Spades}{3-Clubs}
Player 2: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}

The board ran out {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{8-Spades}. At first it looked as if Koral would chop with the first player, as they each had three tens with an ace kicker, but on second glance, Koral had actually picked up a straight. There was no low possible and Koral doubled through player two, who had a covering stack while eliminating player one.

Linde Hits Six Figures

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

Catching the action on the {Q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{K-Clubs} flop we found Dylan Linde betting out 5,600 and an opponent calling before a third player on the button slid out two stacks of chips amounting to a raise of 23,000. Linde potted, and the player in the middle tanked for over a minute before folding {A-}{J-} as the button player committed his final 10,000 in chips.

Linde: {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Spades}
Opponent: {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{3-Hearts}

With Linde in the lead, the {2-Clubs} on the turn only furthered it before the {J-Diamonds} completed the board on the river sending his opponent to the rail and his stack upwards of 100,000.

Heading in Different Directions

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante
Zhen Cai
Zhen Cai

Zhen Cai and Matt Woodward finished first and second in the chip counts last night with Woodward leading by just a few thousand chips over Cai.

Today is a new day though, and thus their stories are changing. Cai has vaulted himself into the chip lead over the course of the day and he sits on a stack of over 200,000. Woodward on the other hand has sunk to the middle-low end of the pack and sits with just about 45,000. The two chip leaders from last night has certainly headed in different directions and it looks like Zhen Cai is coming out on top.

Woodward Quarters Zaichenko

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante
Matt Woodward
Matt Woodward

Andrey Zaichenko opened to 4,000 and Matt Woodward made the call from two seats over. Zaichenko continued for 6,000 on the {4-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{9-Clubs} flop with Woodward calling before both players checked the {10-Hearts} on the turn.

The river of the {3-Clubs} saw Zaichenko bet out 10,000 with Woodward instantly calling. Zaichenko tabled his {A-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{8-Spades} for the nut low and ace-queen high while Woodward tabled his {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{2-Spades}{6-Hearts} for the same low but a better high with ace-king to take three-quarters of the pot and send his stack upwards to 65,000.
