Barbara Enright Eliminated in 25th Place ($5,254)

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Barbara Enright Eliminated in 25th Place
Barbara Enright Eliminated in 25th Place

Barbara Enright lost most of her chips in a set-over-set cooler. She held {3-}{3-} on a flop {3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{a-Spades}, but was up against Chris Priday's {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}. The turn and river were bricks, and Priday won the pot. The chips stacks were very close, but after the TD counted down both stacks, Priday had doubled up, and Enright was left with just 2,000.

On the next hand, Enright posted her 500 ante, and was then all in when she posted the 1,500 small blind. It ended up being a blind-v-blind confrontation with Laura Bare, who held {k-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. Enright had {k-Spades}{4-Diamonds}, and the board ran out {8-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}. The players chopped the pot, but with the antes from the other players, Enright doubled up to 4,000.

On the next hand, Kristen Bicknell raised to 6,000, Enright called for the last of her chips on the button, and Bare also called. The flop was {4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}, and Bicknell and Bare both checked. They checked again when the {2-Hearts} fell on the turn and when the {10-Hearts} came on the river. Bicknell turned over {k-Spades}{10-Spades}, and won the pot.

Barbara Enright has won three WSOP bracelets, is the only woman ever to make the final nine of a WSOP Main Event, and is a member of the Poker Hall of Fame. Adding to those achievements with a fourth bracelet will have to wait for another day, however, as Enright was eliminated in 25th place, earning $5,254 for her efforts.

Kendra Wray Eliminated in 24th Place ($5,254)

Kendra Wray Eliminated in 24th Place

Kendra Wray opened the action from the button with a bet to 6,500. Kristen Bicknell reraised to 18,000 from the small blind and the big blind folded.

Bicknell bet 25,000 on the {3-Spades}{2-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop and Wray called.

Bicknell bet 43,000 when the {6-Clubs} came on the turn. Wray looked to be struggling with the decision and eventually decided to move all in with one card to come. Bicknell snap-called and the hands were tabled.

Bicknell: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Wray: {9-Spades}{10-Spades}

The {5-Clubs} river did not help Wray and she is eliminated in 24th place. This is the second person Bicknell has eliminated in this level and she is now sitting on double the average stack.

Shana Matthews Doubles Through Claire Renaut

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Shana Matthews

Claire Renaut opened the preflop action with a raise to 10,000. Shana Matthews three-bet to 21,000, and Renaut then four-bet to 45,000. Matthews called, and the flop fell {2-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}. Renaut immediately moved all in, and Matthews quickly called. The players turned up their hands:

Matthews: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Renaut: {8-}{8-}

Renaut's pair was in the lead, the Matthews had a lot of outs, as any ace, king, or space would win the hand for her. The turn was the {10-Clubs}, and the river was the {4-Spades}, completing the flush for Matthews. She doubled up, while Renaut took a big hit to her stack.

Action folded to Leanne Haas, who raised from the button to 8,500. Eleanor Gudger reraised 20,500 and Siriwan Sukmekerd moved all in for 65,000. Haas folded and Gudger called without hesitation.

Gudger: {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}
Sukmekerd: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

A classic race was underway that ended right on the flop of {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. The {2-Spades} turn would turn the tables back to Gudger's favor and the {9-Clubs} river was dealt finalizing the hand and eliminating Sukmekerd from the tournament.
