Chidwick Gets His Fill; Busts Lipman

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Michael Lipman - Eliminated
Michael Lipman - Eliminated

Michael Lipman checked on a flop of {j-Spades}{10-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. Stephen Chidwick fired out 45,000, Shannon Shorr folded, and Lipman check-raised to 125,000. Chidwick tanked for a bit before re-raising all in for around 300,000, and Lipman paused for a moment or two before calling with the stone nuts; {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}.

Chidwick showed {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

"Un poquito," Lipman requested from the dealer. "Un poquito."

The {3-Spades} on the turn was a low card, keeping Lipman ahead, and he continued his "un poquito" chant. The dealer rapped the table in preparation to deliver the final card, then spiked the {10-Diamonds} onto the felt.

No one said a word.

It took Lipman a second to realize what had happened, and when he did he went to shake Chidwick's hand. He then returned to his seat, packed his backpack, and finally muttered, "That was sick."

Tablemate Marvin Rettenmaier politely agreed, and Lipman hit the rail.

Cherif: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Lyndaker: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

The board ran out {8-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Lyndaker's jacks held to give him a double.

Over at another table, John Krpan was eliminated in unknown action.

Zachary Clark - Eliminated
Zachary Clark - Eliminated

Stephen Chidwick opened for a raise in the cutoff, "Crazy" Zachary Clark three-bet from the big blind, committing most of his stack, and Chidwick four-bet jammed. Clark called.

Chidwick: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Clark: {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}

Chidwick took the lead when the flop fell {9-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}, and held as the turn and river came {5-Clubs}, {4-Hearts} respectively, eliminating Clark.

River Check-Raise from Ansky

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

When we reached the table, the board read {7-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. Dani Stern checked, Byron Kaverman fired out a bet, and Stern check-raised to 160,000. Kaverman mulled the decision over for 90 seconds or so, then called.

Stern showed {10-Spades}{7-Hearts} for a turned full house, and dragged in the pot.

Safieddine & Maimone Gone

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Francois Safieddine
Francois Safieddine

With 125,000 or so in the pot and a board reading {6-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Spades}, Francois Safieddine checked from the uner-the-gun position and Brandon Meyers moved all in from the hijack. Safieddine quickly called off for approximately 110,000 and the cards were turned up.

Safieddine: {j-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Meyers: {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

Safieddine had flopped top pair but Meyers turned two pair. The {8-Hearts} river failed to help Safieddine, and the man from Denver made a beeline for the exit.

Meanwhile, Nick Maimone has also been eliminated from the tournament.

"I Was Calling"

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Byron Kaverman
Byron Kaverman

Three players took a flop of {8-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, including Byron Kaverman, Francois Safieddine, and Brandon Meyers. Kaverman checked, Safieddine fired out 15,000, and Meyers called. Kaverman check-raised to 43,000, and only Meyers called.

The turn was the {3-Spades}, Kaverman led out for 57,000, and Meyers raised to 125,000. Kaverman tanked for quite some time, then called.

The second the {3-Clubs} completed the board, Kaverman uttered, "Check."

"Did he check?" Meyers asked the dealer.

"King-high," Kaverman said, thinking Meyers checked as well.

He showed {k-Spades}{2-Hearts}.

"It's good," Meyers sighed.

A few seconds passed, then Ognjen Sekularac pointed out that Meyers didn't check. Kaverman looked shocked.

"It's ok," Meyers said. "I was going to check anyway."

There was then discussion at the table as to what would've happened had Meyers shoved.

"I was calling," Kaverman said with a grin.

Quoss Busts Bonomo

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Just before the dinner break, Fabian Quoss had called Justin Bonomo's all-in shove on the {6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop with the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}. Bonomo had the {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades} for a pair and a straight draw. The turn was the {10-Diamonds} and the river the {10-Spades}, both missing Bonomo and busting him from the tournament.
