Owen Doubles Through Comel

Level 27 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #1: Sebastien Comel raised to 80,000. Dan Owen called from the button, as did Nikolaus Teichert in the small blind. The {3-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} flopped, and Comel fired 130,000. Owen moved all in for 915,000. Teichert folded, and Comel called.

Owen: {q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Comel: {k-Spades}{10-Spades}

The turn came {8-Diamonds}, giving Owen his flush. The river brought a {q-Clubs}, and Owen's flush held.

Hand #2: Vincent Maglio raised to 80,000, and Kirill Rabtsov made it 205,000 from the small blind. That was enough to win the pot.

Hand #3: Maglio raised to 80,000 and won the pot.

Hand #4: Nicolas Faure made it 85,000 under the gun. Nikolaus Teichert called him. The flop was {3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. Faure bet 90,000, and Teichert folded.

Hand #5: Comel raised to 80,000 from the cutoff. Sergey Lebedev and Faure called from the blinds. All three players checked the {6-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop. A {q-Clubs} came on the turn, and Lebedev bet 125,000. Faure called, and Comel folded. A {10-Spades} river double-paired the board. Faure bet 160,000 after Lebedev checked, and he was called. Both players showed a ten, and the pot was chopped.

Official Final Table Chip Counts

Level 27 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Alex Dovzhenko Eliminated in 10th Place ($41,784)

Level 27 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Alex Dovzhenko - 10th Place
Alex Dovzhenko - 10th Place

Alex Dovzhenko shoved all in from the cutoff, and fellow short stack Dan Owen called out of the big blind.

Owen: {k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Dovzhenko: {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Both flopped a pair on the {k-Hearts}{10-Spades}{5-Spades} flop, but Owen's was superior. The {5-Clubs} turn cut down on Dovzhenko's outs, and the {a-Clubs} river did nothing. Owen doubled through him, leaving Dovzhenko with about six big blinds.

The next hand, Dovzhenko jammed from the hijack, and Owen was once again ready with a call from the blind.

Owen: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Dovzhenko: {8-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

The board ran out {3-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{j-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, and the official final table is set with Dovzhenko as the odd man out in 10th.

Levi Doubles Through Dovzhenko

Level 27 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

As with most all ins at this stage of the tournement, both Alex Dovzhenko and Nicolas Levi were all in preflop with Levi the player at risk.

Levi: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Dovzhenko: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The board ran out {3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} which was good for the double up for Levi and leaving only 250,000 behind for Dovzhenko.

Comel Dressed for Luck

Level 26 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Sebastien Comel came back from break with a new outfit.
Sebastien Comel came back from break with a new outfit.

Sebastien Comel returned from the second break rocking what appears to be a leprechaun costume, featuring a hat and a bright green beard. We'll see if the luck of the Irish is on his side. He certainly hasn't had many problems thus far.

Owen Crowe Eliminated in 11th Place ($41,784)

Level 26 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Owen Crowe - 11th Place
Owen Crowe - 11th Place

Owen Crowe got it all in preflop against Vincent Maglio.

Crowe: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Maglio: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

"I guess I'm the guy," Maglio said, resigned to his fate on the final table bubble.

The flop came {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} though, and Maglio grabbed the lead.

"Ah, I've got a chance," he said.

That chance took a grim turn, literally, when the {q-Diamonds} hit the board, giving Maglio a straight. Crowe got up and began shaking hands with his fellow players as soon as the dealer placed the {5-Hearts} as the river card.

Faure Doubles Twice In Back To Back Hands

Level 26 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

The first hand saw the chips go in the middle between Nicolas Faure and Vincent Maglio.

Faure: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Maglio: {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}

The board came {9-Clubs}{4-Spades}{a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{j-Spades} and that was good enough for the first double up.

The second hand had a bit more preflop action. It started with a raise from Maglio to 60,000 and then a reraise from Sebastien Comel to 160,000. Faure moved all in for 650,000 and it was back on Maglio. You could sense he wanted to call but he still had Comel behind, so he ended up folding. You could sense Comel was hesitant to call and in the end he did just that.

Comel: {j-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Faure: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}

The board came {6-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{6-Spades} and gave Faure the second double up.

Not Much Happening

Level 26 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Since the players have returned from break, the action has been a bit slow. The short stacks have been moving all in and not finding any callers, the big stacks are a bit hesitant to get involved with the other big stacks for obvious reasons and timely 3-bet seemed to be just the ticket to win the pot.
