Lodden Clips Selbst

Level 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

Catching the action on the {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop we found Johnny Lodden betting roughly a pot-sized bet of 1,550 into Vanessa Selbst.

Selbst paused momentarily before making the call from under the gun before both players checked the {4-Spades} on the turn. When the river landed the {9-Spades} Selbst tapped the table for a third time and Lodden took his time before tossing in four 1,000-denomination chips.

After nearly two minutes in the tank, Selbst released her hand and slipped to just under 8,000 as Lodden continues his great start to the tournament as he now has 45,000 in chips.

Jones' Tens No Good

Level 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

On a {Q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop both the small blind and Kyle Julius in the big blind checked to Aaron Jones who was in the under-the-gun position. Jones checked as well but a fourth player bet out 500. The small blind made the call, Julius folded and Jones called. The {2-Diamonds} fell on the turn and both the small blind and Jones checked again. A bet from the flop-aggressor for a 1,000 followed and the small blind folded. Jones called once again and both players decided to check on the {5-Diamonds} on the river. Jones tabled his {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} with a hopeful expression on his face, but that was soon erased as his opponent showed {Q-Clubs}{K-Hearts}.

Powell Rivers Quoss

Level 4 : 100/200, 0 ante
Fabian Quoss (from Event #52)
Fabian Quoss (from Event #52)

Salman Behbehani opened to 475 and both Brian Powell and Fabian Quoss called next to act and from the big blind respectively.

The {8-Clubs}{J-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop was checked through before Quoss bet out 700 when the turn landed the {6-Diamonds}. Behbehani folded, but Powell made the call as the {A-Hearts} completed the board on the river.

Quoss tossed in 1,500 and Powell made the call tabling his {A-Spades}{K-Hearts} to best Quoss' {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}.

Snowmen No Good for Lykov

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

Catching the action after what appeared to be a three-bet from the cutoff to 1,300, we found Maxim Lykov four-betting the small blind to 2,750. The cutoff made the call, and on the {Q-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} flop Lykov continued for 1,875. His opponent thought for a few moments before making the call as the {Q-Spades} rolled off on the turn.

Both players took their time contemplating a decision before eventually tapping the table as the {3-Clubs} completed the board on the river. Lykov slid out a bet amounting to 5,750 and his opponent made the call.

Lykov tabled his {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}, but it would be his opponent's {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} that would see him earn the pot as Lykov slipped to 10,000 in chips.

Just a Small Hand

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

There's a lot of pro's in the field today and one of them is Phil Laak. He just played a small hand we thought was worth mentioning. The player in the cut off, who's wearing a nice little hat for the occasion, limped in the cut off for 150. Phil Laak made it 575 to go from the button and both blinds folded. The cut off made the call and they took a flop: {10-Spades}{6-Spades}{7-Diamonds}. The cut off bet out 3,000 and Phil Laak literally scratched his head. With 13,300 behind, he eventually folded.
