Childs Jams the Turn

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

The player in the hijack raised to 2,000, and Lee Childs reraised to 5,800 from the cutoff. The player on the button fired a cold four-bet 10,000. The original raiser folded, and Childs made the call.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts}, and Childs checked. The button went with a small bet, 4,400. Childs called. The turn paired the board with the {6-Diamonds}, and Childs checked once more. The button bet 8,100, and Childs thought for about a minute before moving all in. His opponent folded without much delay.

Silver Runs into the Nuts

Level 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

We found Nate Silver with enough chips in the middle to put two shorter stacks all in. Unfortunately for Silver, the board had ran out {2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}, and his {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} found no improvement against {a-Spades}{a-Hearts} and {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}, and the player with aces tripled up.

Rahul Byrraju picked off a bluff with ten-high.
Rahul Byrraju picked off a bluff with ten-high.

With the board reading {k-}{k-}{a-}{4-}{q-}, a player in the big blind bet 3,700 into Rahul Byrraju. After thinking for a minute or so, Byrraju made the call. His opponent didn't bother with the showdown, immediately mucking his hand. Byrraju moved to muck his hand as well, but tournament rules dictate the winning hand must always be shown. The dealer turned over {10-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, and Byrraju dragged the pot with ten-high.
