Plenty of Extras Being Given Away At This Year's WSOP

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

The buzz inside the walls of the Rio extends beyond just the tournaments on the 2013 World Series of Poker schedule. Online poker in Nevada is a very, very hot topic right now, and WSOP.com is making a lot of noise.

While the site has yet to launch, you can head to the Lambada Room of the Rio or look for one of the beautiful and friendly WSOP.com ladies walking the hallways to sign up for a free, personal WSOP.com online poker account. This is a great way to get a jump on the site's registration, and plenty of people have already taken this opportunity.

What's more is that the WSOP will be hosting daily raffles for everyone that has taken the time to register for WSOP.com at the Rio. What can you win? Plenty of fantastic prizes including 36 WSOP seats!

Players 21 years of age and older who sign up for a WSOP.com account will automatically be entered into the “36-Seat Giveaway” where a randomly-selected winner will win a seat into the next day’s first WSOP gold bracelet event. One of the events eligible in this promotion is the $111,111 One Drop High Roller No-Limit Hold’em tournament that is expected to feature a $10,000,000 prize pool and allow you to play poker with the biggest names in the game. In total, $182,333 in WSOP seats, including a seat to the WSOP Main Event, are being given away during this one-of-a-kind WSOP.com promotion.

In addition to the 36-Seat Giveaway, a “Hot Seat” promotion will allow any player who signs up for a WSOP.com online account and wears their WSOP.com patch on their chest at the table while playing an event to be randomly selected to receive 500 bonus dollars deposited directly into their WSOP.com online account once the site has received all regulatory approvals and launches.

With 62 WSOP gold bracelet events and three winners promised for the Main Event, this promotion includes $32,000 worth of value to those participating.

Uchida, Bonomo Out; 32 Remain

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Two more players have fallen, meaning just 32 are left. Two more eliminations and the money bubble will burst. Shun Uchida went out a short while ago in 34th, with Justin Bonomo following him not long after in 33rd.

Bonomo's last hand began with him raising all in for exactly 4,000 from under the gun. It folded back to Calvin Anderson who called from the small blind, Daniel Negreanu raised again from the big blind, and Anderson called.

The first draw saw Anderson take three, Negreanu two, and Bonomo one, and Anderson check-called a Negreanu bet. On the second draw both Anderson and Negreanu took two cards, and this time Anderson check-folded to Negreanu's bet.

Negreanu drew one card, and Bonomo went ahead and showed his {8-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{2-}. Negreanu flipped over his {7-}{5-}{3-}{2-}, then avoiding any undue stretching out of the proceedings he quickly showed his newly-drawn card — the {6-}. Negreanu had outdrawn Bonomo, who wished the others luck before hitting the rail a couple of spots shy of the cash.

Spiegelberg's Bust Gets Us to the Bubble

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

There was a bit of controversy brewing at the table as we arrived, and we didn't get the full details, but here's what we know. Eli Elezra was facing a bet of 4,000 from Juijen Chang and an all-in raise of 4,900 from Adam Spiegelberg, and Elezra was unsure if he could raise it up to 6,000 or to 6,900. The floor came over to rule that 6,000 would be the bet, and Chang called as well. Both Elezra and Chang stood pat, while Spiegelberg drew one card. Both Elezra and Chang checked, then the exact same thing happened, both with the draws and the bets, on the final draw.

Elezra announced "ninety-seven", and Chang tabled {8-}{7-}{5-}{4-}{2-}. Spiegelberg's arms shot up in the air after he peaked down at his final card, and he mucked his hand, getting us down to our final 31 players. With one more elimination, we will be in the money.

Bubble Intact, Short Stacks Sweating

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

They've played four hands of hand-for-hand, and just minutes remain until the dinner break. Both Jon Turner and Ryan Tepen — playing at the same table — are down to less than one big bet at the moment, with Dario Alioto and Naoya Kihara also sitting on short stacks and hoping to squeeze into the final 30 and the money.

Timothy Finne Busts Just Before Dinner, and Just Before the Cash

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

We caught up with the action as the second draw was being made in a three way pot involving Timothy Finne, Konstantin Puchkov, and Hernan Salazar. Puchkov drew two cards, while Finne and Salazar both drew one. Finne committed the rest of his 2,600, and both players called. Finne stood pat, while both Salazar and Puchkov drew one. Both players checked, and Finne announced "nine perfect," and fanned out {9-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-}. It was no good though, as Salazar rolled over {8-}{7-}{6-}{3-}{2-} for an eight low.

A dejected Finne headed for the rail, the last player to bust before the money. Meanwhile, the remaining 30 players will be playing one more hand before the dinner break arrives.

Turner, Tepen Squeeze Into Cash; Seiver Big Leader

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante
Ryan Tepen - 30th Place
Ryan Tepen - 30th Place

The bubble having burst, they played one additional hand before the dinner break, and there ended up being two eliminations to reduce the field to 28.

It started with Ryan Tepen calling all in with the couple of thousand chips he had left from under the gun, then it folded to David "ODB" Baker who raised from the button.

The action was on new chip leader Scott Seiver in the small blind who three-bet, leaving it up to Jon Turner to decide what to do from the small blind. Turner had been crippled earlier by Seiver in a big hand that saw the latter make a wheel to claim most of Turner's stack, but "PearlJammer" had managed to squeak into the cash nonetheless.

The others had a lot of fun watching Turner's exasperation over whether or not to save his last 800 chips or put it at risk against three players with a hand he admitted was not worth playing. Finally he called, and after Seiver drew one card, Turner drew four.

"First time all tournament I've drawn four," he laughed.

Tepen then took three and Baker two, and after Seiver led with a bet, Baker called. The next round saw Seiver standing pat, Turner and Tepen take two, and Baker one. Again Baker called Seiver's bet. The third round then went identically, with the all-in players both again taking two, Baker again drawing one, and Baker once more calling Seiver.

"Number three," said Seiver, showing {7-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-}. Baker said he had an eight-seven and mucked. Turner then showed three of his cards — {7-}{4-}{2-} — then the last two he drew — {9-}{4-}. Tepen meanwhile examined his final five and and when he saw they were beaten he mucked.

Afterwards, Turner said he'd started with {A-}{J-}{10-}{9-}{8-}.

Tepen takes 30th and Turner 29th, the first players to cash in Event #59. Meanwhile, Seiver goes to break with a big chip lead with over 193,000.
