Cajelais Flushes His Opponent

Level 3 : 150/300, 0 ante
Erik Cajelais (earlier in the series)
Erik Cajelais (earlier in the series)

We arrived at the table, just as Erik Cajelais threw out a bet of 3,500 on a board reading {3-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{j-Clubs} | {7-Clubs}. He had one opponent, who made the call, as both watched the {2-Diamonds} complete the board.

Cajelais then bet out and was called, as he turned over his {8-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a flush, taking down the pot.

Somebody Give This Woman a Diamond

Kathy Liebert Looked Just Like This When She Saw Her Opponent's Flush
Kathy Liebert Looked Just Like This When She Saw Her Opponent's Flush

With a board of {q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} separating her from an opponent, longtime tournament pro Kathy Liebert tossed out a bet of 1,000.

The other player in the hand responded with a raise to 2,400, and Liebert flatted to see the {3-Diamonds} drop on the river.

Both players tapped the table with the four-flush on board, and Liebert watched her opponent table the {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for a set of nines that had transformed into a mediocre flush. Liebert winced when she saw the cards, and she soon tossed her own hand to the muck in disappointment.

All Aboard The Steinberg Express To Valuetown

Level 3 : 150/300, 0 ante
Max Steinberg
Max Steinberg

We caught up with Max Steinberg who was already in a hand when he got to his table. With already 5,200 in the pot, Steinberg and two others were heading to a flop.

The dealer spread out the {7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and action checked over to Steinberg. Steinberg put out a bet of 3,200 and he found one caller.

The turn was the {8-Hearts} and both players checked. The river fell the {6-Spades} and once again the first player checked to Steinberg. This time, Steinberg grabbed an orange T5,000 chip and tossed it into the pot. After a few second of thinking, the other player made the call, but he mucked when Steinberg showed his {10-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a rivered straight with his over pair.

With that, Steinberg cracked the 50,000 mark in chips.

Deeb Busts One

Level 3 : 150/300, 0 ante

Picking up the action after a {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts} flop, an opponent got his stack of 7,675 all in with {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} against Freddy Deeb's {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. The {2-Hearts} turn changed nothing, but the {7-Spades} river gave Deeb a straight to secure the elimination.
