Ramage and Demidov Battle Again

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Ivan Demidov and Grayson Ramage are two of the more accomplished tournament players at Table 427, but that hasn't stopped them from waging war on each other. In their most recent duel, Ramage raised to 22,000 from early position and Demidov three-bet to 59,00 from the button. Ramage called, and the flop rolled out {6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}. Both players checked, and Ramage led for 56,000 on the {J-Hearts} turn. Demidov came along, and the {7-Spades} landed on the river. Ramage kept up the aggression by pushing out a bet worth 155,000. Demidov through for a minute before casually tossing out a call. Ramage showed {A-Hearts}{K-Spades} for top pair top kicker, and Demidov mucked.

Bazeley Busts Kende

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

We walked over to the set of feature tables just in time to see Jacob Bazeley and Adam Kende in an all in preflop confrontation. Kende was the one all in with {a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, and he was dominated by the {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} of Bazeley. The hand was all but over when the dealer put out a flop of {3-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{3-Hearts}, and Kende would need runner runner to survive. The {3-Spades} came on the turn, meaning that Kende could chop the pot with an ace or a three. However, the {2-Hearts} came on the river, giving Bazeley the knockout, upping his stack to 270,000 in the process.

Augstkalns Pushes Paez Out of Pot

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Edgars Augstkalns opened to 20,000 from middle position, then Raul Paez reraised to 46,000 from a few seats down. It folded back to Augstkalns, and as he considered what he was going to do, Paez turned up the collar on his racing jacket to hide his face.

It only took Augstkalns a few seconds, however, to declare he was pushing all in, and at that Paez turned his collar back down. He watched as Augstkalns's stack was counted out, showing that the all-in was for 277,000 total.

Paez took two full minutes, then finally let his hand go.

On the {K-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop, Jon Turner fired a bet of 53,000. Aleksejs Ponakovs called, and the turn was the {A-Spades}. Both players checked, and the dealer completed the board with the {4-Clubs}. Turner fired 83,000, and Ponakovs called.

Turner showed a pair of sevens with the {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}. Ponakovs showed the {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} for a pair of aces, and he won the pot.

Myers Takes Out Hicks

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

We arrived at the table with the flop spread out {3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{10-Spades}. Bradley Myers checked from under the gun plus one, before Daniel Hicks moved all in for 318,000.

The massive shove sent Myers into the tank, as he contemplated making the call. There were several moments during his two minute tank were it looked like Myers would call, but then change his mind at the last second.

He eventually made the call, and was relieved to see Hicks table his{a-Hearts}{j-Clubs} for ace-high. He then rolled over his {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for top-pair, as he sat there waiting for the ESPN crew to give the all clear to move on.

The dealer then produced the {10-Clubs} on the turn, securing Myers the hand, with the meaningless {q-Hearts} completing the board.

The hand see’s Hicks hit the rail, as Myers moves up to 1,450,000 in chips.

Kaverman Chipping Up

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Byron Kaverman opened to 20,000 from the hi-jack only to have Richard Robinson three-bet to 52,000 next to act. The action returned to Kaverman and he made the call as the dealer spread a {Q-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop.

Kaverman check-called 57,000 before both players checked the {10-Hearts} on the turn. The river landed the {3-Clubs} and again both players checked with Kaverman tabling his {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} to win the pot and move to 600,000 in chips.

Triple Barrel Bluff from van Luijk

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Yann Dion raised to 20,000 in early position, and the action folded to Dick van Luijk, who defended his big blind. The flop fell {2-Spades}{2-Clubs}{a-Hearts}, van Luijk quickly led out for 30,000, and Dion called.

The turn was the {7-Diamonds}, van Luijk fired out another 45,000, and Dion called.

The river was the {3-Hearts}, van Luijk cut out 60,000, and after holding it in his hand for 30 seconds or so, he slid the bet forward. Dion shrugged, then tossed in enough chips to call. Van Luijk paused for a moment before finally revealing {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for effectively nine-high. Dion tabled {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for pocket tens, and took down the pot.

Coleman's Tens Best Smith's Big Slick

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

From the cutoff seat, Maxx Coleman raised to 20,000. Joshua Smith reraised to 55,000 out of the small blind, and Coleman made the call once action moved back over to him. The dealer placed out the {Q-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop, and Smith fired 45,000. Coleman called. Both players then checked the {3-Hearts} turn card and {7-Diamonds} river card.

After Smith tabled the {A-Clubs}{K-Spades} for ace-king high, Coleman showed a pair of tens with the {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and won the pot.
