Alban Juen Nearly Quadruples Up

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

We walked up to Table 371 in the Amazon room to see Alban Juen re-shove all-in for 18,100 after one player had already moved all in for 7,100. Two other players called Juen's bet, and the Frenchman was at risk with a chance to more than triple up.

The flop rolled out {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and the first player to act bet 17,000. The other player in the side pot folded, and the hands were revealed. Juen was in bad shape with his {A-Spades}{K-Spades} against pocket sevens and the short stack's {A-Clubs}{6-Hearts}, but the {K-Clubs} on the turn shot him out of his seat as he realized he had taken the lead. The {8-Clubs} on the river changed nothing, and Juen did some celebrating before returning to his seat to stack his 65,000 in chips.
