Back to the Day Job

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Hand #86

Charles Nguyen raised the small blind to 35,000 and one seat over, Roland Reparejo made the call. They checked down the {K-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs}{K-Spades}{Q-Clubs} board until the river. Reparejo tried to steal with a bet of 60,000 but Nguyen called and was good with {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts} versus jack-high.

Hand #87

Corey Emery got a walk.

Hand #88

Charles Nguyen raised to 45,000 and Emery moved all in for 274,000 from the small blind. The big blind folded and Nguyen called:

Nguyen: {K-Spades}{J-Spades}
Emery: {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}

"HOLD ONE TIME," Emery yelled towards the rail and the {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts} board delivered a full house.

Hand #79

Doremus opened to 40,000 and Charles Nguyen three-bet from the button to 100,000 and everyone, including Doremus, folded.

John Taylor Eliminated in Fifth Place ($17,975)

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
John Taylor
John Taylor

Hand #77

From the button, John Taylor moved all in for what looked like 110,000. The small blind folded but Charles Nguyen called in the big blind. Please turn over your cards:

Taylor: {4-Spades}{2-Hearts}
Nguyen: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}

Four-high doesn't sound intriguing but Taylor did find a little help on the {3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} flop. After the {K-Spades} turn, Taylor was only one card away from elimination and the {9-Spades} river sent him to the rail in fifth place. The Nguyen rail filled the whole Amazon room with their chants and some of them are surely going to miss their voices tomorrow.

Hand #69

With more chips to play in front, Charles Nguyen gets more and more active and took down the blinds and antes with a button raise.

Hand #71

Corey Emery raised the button to 35,000 and Olivier Doremus defended his big blind. On the {8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop, Doremus check-called 30,000 and then checked again on the {A-Diamonds} turn. Emery bet 58,000 and Doremus moved all in for another 185,000 on top of that. After getting the count, Emery said "okay, I call," before turning over the {A-Clubs}{6-Spades}.

Doremus turned over a dominating {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and despite the requests from the rail for a six, the dealer completed the board with the {2-Spades} river.
