Clements Wins Battle of the Blinds

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

Action folded around to Andy Bloch in the small blind and he moved forward a raise. Scott Clements called from the big blind and the flop came down {9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. Bloch continued, Clements called, and the dealer put out the {Q-Hearts} on the turn.

Bloch fired once more and Clements stuck around. The river was the {10-Clubs} and Bloch slowed with a check. Clements took this opportunity to bet and Bloch casually flung out a call. Clements rolled over {J-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts} for a queen-high straight which was good enough to take down the pot. Clements is now up to 74,000 in chips while Bloch has fallen to 33,000.

Madsen Doubles Through Brown

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

After a series of raises, Jeff Madsen found himself all in before the flop against Andrew Brown for his last 4,200.

Madsen: {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}
Brown: {K-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}

The board runs out {9-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{J-Spades}, giving Madsen the scoop to double up. He's now sitting around 9,000 in chips.

George Quartered

Level 8 : 400/800, 0 ante

Chris George opened to 1,600 from the cutoff and Eli Elezra, Ben Yu and Jeremy Ausmus called from the button, small and big blinds respectively.

George continued for 800 on the {8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop with only Yu calling as the {9-Clubs} landed on the turn. Yu checked, George bet 1,600 and Yu check-raised to 3,200 with George calling as the river landed the {Q-Diamonds}.

Yu tossed in 1,600 and George called tabling his {A-Spades}{2-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{4-Spades} for the nut low while Yu tabled his {A-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{9-Spades} for the nut low and two pairs to see him take three-quarters.

Mizrachi Fires Thrice

Level 8 : 400/800, 0 ante

On a flop of {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, Raymond Davis checked over to Robert Mizrachi. Mizrachi led out and Davis quickly called. The {2-Hearts} fell down on the turn and Davis checked for a second time. Mizrachi shot another bullet and Davis called once more.

The river brought a second deuce on the board with the {2-Clubs}. Davis checked for a third time and Mizrachi led out. Davis waited a moment on this street and eventually opted to throw away his hand. Mizrachi picked up the pot and now has about 29,000.
