Konjuhi KO'd

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Scott Seiver raised in early position, Shirley Rosario made it three bets near the button, and Abdyl Konjuhi called all in for 15,000 from the big blind. Seiver called as well, and both Seiver and Rosario checked on a flop of {10-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}.

The turn was the {8-Diamonds}, Seiver led out for a bet, and Rosario called. Both players checked on the river ({7-Hearts}), and the three hands were tabled.

Rosario: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}
Seiver: {5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Konjuhi: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

Seiver had a flush, Rosario the low, and Konjuhi hit the rail.

Williams Eliminated

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Jeff Williams
Jeff Williams

Jeff Williams opened to 12,000 and Jason McPherson made the call from the blinds to see a {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{K-Clubs} flop fall. McPherson check-called a bet of 6,000 as the turn landed the {Q-Hearts}.

McPherson checked, Williams bet 12,000 and McPherson made the call before checking the {Q-Spades} on the river.

Williams pushed out another bet of 12,000 only to have McPherson raise. Williams made the call for what was left in his stack to be all in.

McPherson tabled his {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{3-Spades} for a full house and Williams mucked and headed to the rail.

Sklar Busts, Ivey Wins

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Phil Ivey busted on Day 1, but broke even thanks to Richard Sklar
Phil Ivey busted on Day 1, but broke even thanks to Richard Sklar

Andrew Brown raised in early position, Richard Sklar called all in for 4,500 in middle position, and Ofir Mor called out of the small blind. Brown and Mor both checked on the flop ({q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}) and the turn ({10-Clubs}), and the river was the {6-Spades}. Mor tossed out a bet, and Brown folded.

"Tens-up and ace-three," Mor announced, fanning {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}.

Sklar revealed {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, then exited the tournament area.

Sklar also had a 3-1 bet on $10,000 in a last longer versus Phil Ivey, but in order for the bet to count, either player had to make the final table. Because Ivey busted before Sklar, Sklar was freerolling the nine-time bracelet winner. In the end, though, Ivey didn't have to fork over $30,000 because Sklar fell short of the final table.

Runner-Runner for Wattel

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Daniel Negreanu raised from under the gun, Mike Wattel made it three bets on the button, and Negreanu called.

"I'm not folding," the Canadian said, smiling.

The flop fell {6-Spades}{2-Spades}{3-Hearts}, Negreanu bet, and Wattel made it two bets, leaving just 1,000 behind. Negreanu set him all in, and Wattel called.

Negreanu: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Spades}
Wattel: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{2-Clubs}

Negreanu had an overpair and a flush draw, but the turn and river were both non-spade eights - the {8-Diamonds} and {8-Clubs} respectively - and Wattel doubled through.

Negreanu Pushes Out Turner

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Jon Turner opened to 12,000 from the button and both Daniel Negreanu and Jeff Williams called from the blinds.

Negreanu led for 6,000 on the {10-Spades}{6-Spades}{K-Clubs} flop with only Turner calling as the {8-Clubs} landed on the turn. Negreanu tossed in 12,000 and again Turner called as the {J-Spades} completed the board on the river.

Negreanu bet for a third time and Turner mucked his hand while slipping to 110,000 as Negreanu climbed to 175,000 in chips.

Perry Friedman
Perry Friedman

Scott Seiver raised in middle position, Shirley Rosario made it three bets on the button, and Perry Friedman cold-called in the big blind. Seiver came along for the ride, and the flop fell {2-Spades}{3-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. Friedman tossed out a bet, Seiver called, and Rosario raised. Friedman made it three bets, Seiver called, and Rosario called as well.

The turn was a repeat three - the {3-Spades} - and Friedman bet. Seiver and Rosario both called.

The river was the {q-Clubs}, Friedman led out again, and Seiver and Rosario called. All three hands were opened up.

Seiver: {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} (Low)
Rosario: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{4-Spades} (Low)
Friedman: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs} (High and Low)

Friedman was pushed two-thirds of the pot, while Seiver and Rosario both had to settle for a sixth apiece.

Dempsey: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Lisandro: {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}

The turn and river landed the {4-Spades} and {5-Spades} to ensure Dempsey hit the rail shy of the money as Lisandro climbed to 115,000 in chips.

Sklar and Wattel Chop Up Bojang and Negreanu

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
Mike Wattel
Mike Wattel

Richard Sklar, who has a $10,000 must-final-table last-longer bet at 3-1 with Phil Ivey, limped in from under the gun, Ismael Bojang called on his direct left, Mike Wattel called on his direct left, and Daniel Negreanu and Gregory Jamison came along for the ride from the blinds.

The flop fell {j-Hearts}{10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}, the action checked to Bojang, and he bet. Wattel, Negreanu, and Sklar called. The turn was the {5-Spades}, Negreanu and Sklar checked, and Bojang fired out another bet. Again, all three players called.

The river was the {k-Clubs}, Negreanu led out with a bet, Sklar raised, Bojang folded, and only Wattel called.

Sklar showed {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs} for Broadway, and Wattel revealed {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for the same exact hand.
