Kihara Hurts Volpe

Level 14 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

While bubble play continues it's Paul Volpe who just got a little closer to the danger zone after losing sizable pot against Japanese bracelet winner Naoya Kihara.

Kihara completed and Volpe called, after which Kihara called Volpe's bet on fourth street. Volpe bet again on fifth and Kihara called after which the most recent bracelet winner check-called on sixth street.

On seventh street Volpe checked and Kihara bet again. Volpe tanked for quite a long time but eventually he called and Kihara showed {A-}{3-}{8-}. Kihara raked in the pot and he's now among the chip leaders.

No New Level

Level 14 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Although the time has just expired on level 14, since we are currently on the bubble and playing hand-for-hand, the tournament is going to remain in level 14 until we lose one more and enter the money.

Schulman Survives

Level 14 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu completed and Roland Israelashvili called before Nick Schulman raised as both Negreanu and Israelashvili called. Negreanu bet out on fourth with Israelashvili calling as Schulman called all in for his last 1,000. Negreanu bet fifth and Israelashvili folded.

Negreanu: {A-Clubs}{4-Clubs} / {9-Clubs}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
Israelashvili: (X-X) / {8-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Spades} (folded on fifth)

On sixth street Negreanu caught a {10-Hearts} and Schulman a {7-Clubs}, and when seventh street landed, Negreanu didn't improve as he found the {Q-Clubs} while Schulman did as he caught the {2-Clubs}.
