Brandon Steven checked to Joseph Cheong on a flop of {7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{10-Spades}, and the 2010 November Niner bet 3,000. Steven check-raised to 10,000, Cheong moved all in for around 20,000 more, and Steven snap-called.

Cheong: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Steven: {8-Spades}{7-Clubs}

The {10-Diamonds} on the turn gave Cheong a better two pair - tens and nines - and an open-ended straight flush draw. Steven could still double through with an eight or a seven on the river, but the {k-Clubs} completed the board.

"Good game, Brandon," Cheong said to the 2010 WSOP Main Event final table bubble boy.

Steven wished the table good luck, then exited the Amazon Room.

Cal Gets Tripped Up

Level 5 : 300/600, 75 ante

Calvin Anderson checked to Kevin Song on a flop of {j-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}, and he tossed out a bet of 3,300. A third player called, Anderson check-raised to 10,000, and Song got out of the way.

The caller looked up Anderson, and the turn was the {8-Hearts}. Anderson led out for 16,300, the player called, and the {3-Diamonds} completed the board. Both players checked.

Anderson tabled {4-Spades}{4-Hearts} for jacks and fours, but it was no good against his opponent's {j-Spades}{9-Hearts}.

"Do you call a big bet on the river?" Anderson asked his opponent.

"Yeah," the player responded. "I was in too deep."

Darren Elias fired out a bet of 6,200 on a board of {6-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{j-Clubs}, John Hennigan raised to 13,500, and Elias moved all in for effectively 36,600. Hennigan didn't see the bet initially - he was checking what looked like baseball scores on his phone - and when he finally looked up he instantly called.

Hennigan: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Elias: {9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

Hennigan need a club to survive, but it was not to be as the {5-Spades} completed the board. Elias chipped up to 160,000, while Hennigan hit the rail.
