Williams Check-Raises the River

Level 5 : 300/600, 75 ante

David Williams checked on a completed board of {4-Hearts}{j-Spades}{7-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{8-Spades}, and Ami Barer, winner of the 2014 Aussie Millions Main Event, fired out 15,500 into a pot of around 30,000. Williams considered the bet, then check-raised to 36,000.

It was Barer's turn to dip into the tank, and after shifting around in his chair a bit, he folded. Williams happily raked in the pot, and is now up above 100,000 chips.

Level 5 : 300/600, 75 ante
Ryan D'Angelo
Ryan D'Angelo

A few minutes into Level 5, Jennifer Tilly was spotted scooping a massive pot on Table 366. Ryan D'Angelo didn't have a stack in front of his seat, and proceeded to collect his things and exit the Amazon Room.

According to D'Angelo, he was the victim of a {k-}{k-} vs. {a-}{a-} cooler:

Ryan D'AngeloPlayed my A++ game but sad to say I've been eliminated. The dreaded KK v AA vs @Jtillathekilla2 for a 150k pot. 1k PLO tomorrow. #WSOP

Tilly was the beneficiary of the big hand, and is now up to 185,000 chips.

Weissman Picks Off Jacobson with Set

Level 5 : 300/600, 75 ante

With the board reading {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{8-Clubs} between Martin Jacobson and Joey Weissman, action was on Jacobson and he bet 8,200. Weissman took some time to think it over and then made the call to see the {5-Hearts} complete the board on the river. Jacobson bet 18,000, and Weissman called.

Jacobson didn't like the look of Weissman's call and tabled the {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} for just king high. Weissman flipped up a winning {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for a set of sevens, and he scooped in the pot.

One Sick Pup

Level 4 : 250/500, 50 ante

Kevin "1SickDisease" Eyster and Matt Giannetti both checked on a flop of {2-Spades}{3-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and Ryan Fee fired out 2,000. The turn was a repeat nine - the {9-Spades} - Eyster checked again and Giannetti tossed out 7,200. Fee folded, Eyster called and the river was the {j-Spades}.

Both players checked and Eyster showed {10-Spades}{8-Spades} for a flush.

No Mercy

Level 4 : 250/500, 50 ante
Jason Mercier
Jason Mercier

Jason Mercier raised to 1,000 even in the cutoff, John Hennigan reraised to 3,100 from the small blind and Mercier made the call.

When the dealer fanned a flop of {q-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, Hennigan silently flipped forward a pink T5,000 chip. Mercier confirmed the amount of the bet before calling.

Both players knuckled on the turn ({5-Clubs}); Hennigan led out for 13,000 on the river ({7-Spades}) and Mercier furrowed his brow before calling. Hennigan motioned that the two-time WSOP bracelet winner was good and mucked his hand when Mercier showed {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} for a pair of aces.
