Matt Waxman joins the PokerNews Podcast at the top of the show to talk about winning a bracelet in 2013, debate whether or not the National Championship is a closed event, and tell the story of his first big heater in poker. The crew then gives play-by-play of a spat between Nick Schulman and the phone vendors outside of the Amazon Room, breaks down the recent bracelet winners, and more.
You can subscribe to the entire iBus Media Network on iTunes here, or you can access the RSS feed here. The PokerNews family of podcasts is now available on Stitcher.
Stephen Kaufman, who qualified for this event at WSOP.com, is no longer with us.
We returned to check on his progress to find an empty seat.

Busted |
When the banner commemorating Ryan Riess’ Main Event win last year was unveiled earlier this week, a slight oversight led to his name being misspelled as "Reiss". He saw the humorous side and it was soon corrected, playing in the very room where it hangs today.
It seems that he may be getting used to this kind of mix up, the same misspelling on his All-American Dave's lunch bag. Somebody on the wind-up, perhaps?
It that wasn't bad enough we just saw Riess get it all in preflop with ![]()
against his opponent's ![]()
.
The flop fell ![]()
![]()
and his opponent cried, "Yes, let me get lucky!" He remained lucky as the turn
and river
saw Riess in trouble three levels into the tournament.
