Chris Johnson Eliminated in 11th Place ($30,267)

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Chris Johnson - 11th Place
Chris Johnson - 11th Place

Chris Johnson had been fairly quiet on Day 3, and as a result his stack dwindled. In what would ultimately be his final hand, Johnson raised to 40,000 under the gun and was met by a three-bet to 250,000 from Andy Phan in the big blind. Johnson had 410,000 total and put it in. Phan called.

Johnson: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Phan: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Johnson's was in a bad spot with his pocket pair, and the dealer failed to deliver salvation as the board ran out a dry {3-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{2-Hearts}.

With that the final ten players will combine to a single table and move over to the ESPN main stage. Cards will be back in the air shortly.

Raptor on the Verge of Extinction

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Thad McNulty opened for 40,000 from the hijack and then called when David Benefield three-bet to 110,000 from the cutoff. McNulty then check-called a bet of 130,000 on the {8-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop and both players proceeded to check the {K-Clubs} turn.

When the {4-Clubs} completed the board on the river, McNulty fired out 250,000 and Benefield called. McNulty rolled over the {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} for a full house and Benefield mucked.

McNulty Gives Up His King

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Jamie Armstrong opened for 40,000 from the hijack and Thad McNulty and Sam Cohen called from the button and big blind respectively. Cohen then checked the {4-Spades}{j-Clubs}{k-Clubs} flop, Armstrong bet 85,000, and McNulty called. From there, Cohen sprung to life with a check-raise to right around 330,000 and both her opponents folded, but not before McNulty showed the {K-Spades}.

Armstrong vs. McNulty

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Sam Cohen opened for 40,000 from the cutoff and Jamie Armstrong called on the button. Thad McNulty then three-bet to 100,000 from the big blind, Cohen folded, and Armstrong made the call.

The {3-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop saw McNulty bet 155,000, Armstrong called, and then the two checked both the {10-Diamonds} turn and {5-Hearts} river. McNulty tabled the {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for a rivered set, and it was good as Armstrong mucked.

Justin Oliver opened for 40,000 from early position and was met by an all-in three-bet to 327,000 by Scott Davies on the button. The blinds both folded and Oliver made the call.

Oliver: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Davies: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

Davies had a decent pair, but Oliver had one slightly better. Davies was in desperate need of a ten, but he was left wanting after the board ran out a dry {8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}.

Yong Lu Eliminated in 13th Place ($24,277)

Level 23 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Yong Lu - 13th Place
Yong Lu - 13th Place

Action folded around to Yong Lu on the button and he moved all in for 271,000. The small blind folded and then Thad McNulty tank-called from the big blind.

McNulty: {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}
Lu: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

It was a race, but not after the flop came down {5-Spades}{9-Spades}{k-Clubs} to give McNulty a set. The {J-Clubs} turn gave Lu a gutshot straight draw, but the {A-Spades} river failed to complete it.

Cohen vs. Armstrong Once Again

Level 23 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Sam Cohen raised to 35,000 under the gun and Jamie Armstrong called from the hijack. David Benefield came along from the big blind and three players saw a flop of {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. Benefield checked, Cohen bet 55,000, and only Armstrong called.

When the {5-Diamonds} appeared on the turn, Cohen bet 80,000 and Armstrong called. The {6-Diamonds} river saw Cohen slow down with a check, but she still called when Armstrong bet 150,000.

Armstrong tabled the {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}for two pair, and it was good as Cohen mucked her cards.
