Gregg Versus Metalidi

Level 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

We noticed the huge stack of Tony Dunst and the players just behind him are not really unknown either: Anthony Gregg and Artem Metalidi. They just played a pot that saw them check down the {5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} board until the river, then Metalidi bet 525. Gregg check-raised to 1,750 and his opponent let go after some consideration.

The More, The Merrier

Level 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

One of the happiest participants in today's event is surely Mateusz Moolhuisen. Why you may ask? He is from the Netherlands and they beat Spain with 5-1 at the world cup. He was just involved in a hand where he called 500 on the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop but then folded on the {K-Clubs} turn after the opponent led for 1,100.

Rasmussen In, Baumann Out

Level 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

We noticed that the seat of Gaelle Baumann was empty and she three-bet with pocket kings to see an opponent call with eights and flop his set. The hand reached the river of a king high board and the Frenchwoman hit the rail. In seat nine we do have Thayer Rasmussen who just had a deep run at the WSOP and he is already off to a great start once again.

Farrell Stacks Up Raskin

Level 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

We didn't catch the action until the river but the pot was already quite big. The board showed {4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Farrell moved all in, Raskin called and showed {K-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. Farrell mucked but the dealer turned over {K-Hearts}{7-Hearts} since it was an all-in showdown, Raskin doubled up for 3,400 after the final community card.

Aces In The First Hand

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

Tamer Kamel just registered late after watching the football match Spain versus Netherlands earlier on and had a surprise on his new table. He just flat-called a raise to 300 and behind him a player made it 1,100. The initial raiser moved all in for 5,000 with {Q-}{10-} and the Brit went over the top with pocket aces to enforce a tank fold from the other opponent. The aces held and the Brit is off to a great start.
