Robert Schmidt Eliminated in 6th Place ($66,176)

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Robert Schmidt - 6th Place
Robert Schmidt - 6th Place

Hand #44: Aleksandr Gofman raised to 80,000 and RJ Sullivan called. The flop came down {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and Gofman bet out 65,000. Sullivan raised to 145,000 and Gofman folded, awarding Sullivan the pot.

Hand #45: Robert Schmidt pushed all in from the small blind and won the blinds and antes.

Hand #46: Matt Stout got a walk in the big blind.

Hand #47: Stout limped in the small blind and Peter Gould checked. The flop came down {k-Spades}{8-Spades}{j-Hearts} and Stout bet 60,000 to win the pot.

Hand #48: Stout raised to 90,000 on the button and Sullivan called in the big blind. The flop fell {10-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{4-Spades} and both players checked. The turn came {7-Clubs} and Stout bet 100,000. Sullivan called and the {2-Clubs} was slid onto the felt for the river. Stout led out for 175,000 and Sullivan called. Stout showed {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and Sullivan mucked his hand.

Hand #49: Schmidt pushed all in from under the gun with his stack of 505,000 and Brett Shaffer made the call.

Shaffer: {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}
Schmidt: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

Schmidt needed to connect with the board in some way to creep ahead of Shaffer's threes, and the flop of {7-Clubs}{2-Spades}{5-Diamonds} was no help. The turn was the {q-Diamonds} and the river was the {7-Diamonds}. The threes held and Schmidt was eliminated in sixth place and will be picking up $66,176 from the cashier.
