Lee Markholt
Lee Markholt

Lee Markholt was seated under the gun when he moved all in for his final 117,000 chips and, from his immediate left, it was Jeremy Ausmus who made the call. All the other players folded and the showdown went as following.

"I misread my hand," Markholt sighed as he flipped over his cards.

Markholt: {6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}
Ausmus: {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}

The board ran out {7-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{A-Spades}{2-Spades}{K-Clubs} and Markholt was knocked out in 12th place. Markholt shook hands with the remaining players and left the room while Ausmus sits on one of the bigger stacks.

Lindgren Over a Million

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Erick Lindgren raised to 25,000 in the cutoff, Hiren "Sunny" Patel defended his big blind, and the flop fell {2-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}. Both players checked.

The turn was the {k-Clubs}, Patel check-called a bet of 35,000, and the river was the {q-Diamonds}. Patel check-called one last bet of 70,000, and Lindgren dragged the pot with {k-Spades}{j-Hearts}.

Scott Clements moved all in from the button for 163,000 chips and George Danzer immediately gave up his small blind. JC Tran went into the tank for a bit before ultimately made the cal.

"Fours?" Clements asked Tran, who flipped over {A-Clubs}{4-Hearts}.

"Close," Tran said, as Clements tabled his {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}.

The flop brought {K-Spades}{J-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Clements seemed to he headed towards a double up. On the turn however the {A-Spades} popped up and the river was the {4-Clubs} to give Tran a bigger two-pair combination. Clemetns got up from his seat and left the tournament area, and we are now down to two tables of five.

"Noooooo Way!"

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Martin Jacobson started things off by putting in a raise to 35,000 and George Danzer called from the big blind. The flop brought out {4-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Danzer check-called 30,000.

On the turn the {8-Diamonds} hit and Danzer checked again. Jacobson bet 90,000 and Danzer tanked for a bit before making the call.

The river completed the board with the {8-Clubs} and Danzer checked a third time. Jacobson paused before ultimately decided to check as well.

Danzer confidently showed {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} but that was no good against Jacobson's {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}.

"Noooooooo!" Danzer laughed.

"Nooooo way!" the German bracelet winner added before saying, "Outplayed again!"

Danzer gave up some chips to Jacobson who's up quite a lot since the start of the day without receiving a full double up.

Hiren "Sunny" Patel Eliminated in 10th Place ($49,061)

Hiren Patel - 10th Place
Hiren Patel - 10th Place

Jeremy Ausmus raised to 32,000 in the cutoff, Hiren "Sunny" Patel three-bet to 106,000 out of the small blind, and Ausmus responded with a four-bet to 195,000. Patel moved all in for what looked like 500,000 or so, and Ausmus quickly called.

Ausmus: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Patel: {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

The window card was the {j-Clubs}, prompting Ausmus to let out a long sigh, but it was cut short when the {k-Clubs} poked behind it. The {5-Hearts} completed the flop, and the turn brought the {q-Hearts}.

"Ten," Patel said softly.

A ten would give both players Broadway, but the {3-Clubs} bricked off on the river and Patel was eliminated in 10th place.

Ausmus rocketed up to 1.5 million chips.

More for Silver

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

On the turn the board read {3-Spades}{7-Spades}{10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} when George Danzer bet 75,000 from the small blind. JC Tran and Joe Cada folded after which the action was on Max Silver. Silver raised it up to 190,000 and Danzer tanked for quite a while before making the call.

The river brought the {3-Hearts} and Danzer checked to Silver who bet a hefty 295,000. Danzer tanked for a while before ultimately letting go of his hand.

"He's a machine," Danzer said about Silver after losing this pot.

"What can I do there with top pair? Check-jam the turn?" Danzer asked the table, but nobody was willing to give their thoughts on this hand.
