Wickett Or Wicked?

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Daniel Wickett just stood up and Simon Tse raked in the chips, the board was almost rushed away but we could still see the {2-Diamonds} on the flop. Wicket had {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades} and Tse pocket deuces, the remaining stack went all in after the turn and Wickett could not hit the two outer anymore.

Out Before a Small Pay Jump

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Places 63 to 55 all went home with $3,706. The next pay jump is to $4,253.

Goran Mandic Eliminated

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Goran Mandic
Goran Mandic

Down to only 15,000, Goran Mandic moved all in from the cutoff and Nathaen Blankenship moved all in from the small blind. The big blind inquired about the breaking order and whether or not he may stay in his seat until the end of the day as it was the last table to break. He then folded.

Blankenship: {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}
Mandic: {Q-Diamonds}{3-Spades}

The {9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{K-Spades}{4-Clubs}{5-Clubs} board delivered no improvement for the Croatian and he has been eliminated.

Libson's Aces Hold Up

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

David Stamm had turned a small stack at the start into a decent weapon but his tournament life just came to an end after defending the big blind with the {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. Libson raised in middle position and then called the check-raise on the {2-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{10-Hearts} flop from 5,600 to 19,500.

On the {8-Diamonds} turn, Stamm moved all in and Libson called with the {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}. The {5-Hearts} river was a blank and Libson emerged as our new chip leader.

Nassif Doubles

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Gabriel Nassif
Gabriel Nassif

It folded around to Gabriel Nassif in the small blind and he moved all in for just over ten big blinds. He probably wished he hadn’t when he heard, “Call.”

Nassif turned over {q-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and needed to beat {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}.

The cards came out {2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{3-Clubs}{10-Spades} and Nassif’s two pair gave him a double up.

Mandic Muted

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Pok Kim doubled up via three-bet shove out of the big blind with {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} versus {A-}{10-} as the board ran out {8-Spades}{4-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{10-Spades}.

Two tables over, Goran Mandic first lost 34,300 with {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts} versus {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts} on the {9-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{5-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. And then he couldn't hold up with {Q-}{Q-} versus {A-}{K-} either.

Marshak Cracks Aces Again

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

We have lost Daniel Hicks, Adam Semple and Patrick Barth in a matter of minutes. In the case of Barth, it was a cruel two-outer and once again Stuart Marshak was responsible for cracking pocket aces.

After a raise to 4,200, Marshak three-bet to 12,000 and then called the all in of his almost even stacked opponent with pocket queens. A queen on the flop gifted him yet another two-outer to place him well above average.

Meet Dutch

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Dutch Boyd
Dutch Boyd

Dutch Boyd opened for 4,000 and got raised by the small blind to 11,300 after some deep thought. Boyd looked him up and down and made the call.

The flop was {2-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}. The small blind checked and Boyd cut out 11,300 and made the bet. The fold came a lot quicker than the three-bet abd Boyd gathered the chip.

His neighbour at the table had been chatting to him for most of the level and finally introduced himself a short time later and they shook hands. “Dutch.” Boyd replied.

“Dutch Boyd? I knew you were better than me.” his new friend exclaimed.

Finger Keeps On Trying

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

The action folded to Martin Finger in the small blind and he raised to 5,000, the player in the big blind called. On the {5-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{9-Clubs} flop, Finger check-raised from 7,000 to 16,000 and then quickly folded when his opponent moved all in.

One hand later, Sean Jazayeri raised from the hijack and Shelby Standley one seat over three-bet to 12,500. Jazayeri called and both checked down the {Q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} board. Standley announced "sevens" for a pair of sevens but Jazayeri had that beat with the {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}. It looks like he is now the current chip leader.
