The Germans Are Entertaining

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

There's a table in the silver section that is the home to Germany's Fabian Quoss and Heinz Kamutzki, plus Amanda Musumeci and Luc Greenwood, and they're all enjoying themselves.

Kamutzki is making fun of his fellow countryman Quoss' new beard, suggesting that Quoss spends a lot of time grooming it whenever the tournament is on a break.

"I groom it between hands," joked Quoss

"He's even got a special comb. I've been told it has his name on it, but I've not seen it!" said Kamutzki, prompting laughs from the rest of the table.

Kamutzki has been busy adding to his stack between the jokes and laughs and now has 23,000 chips, partly because he raised two hands in a row and both times won the blinds.

Hall Heads Home

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

Galen Hall has busted from this $5,000 buy-in event during the third level. We saw him heading for the exits and there is bare felt in front of his old seat, so it is safe to assume Mr Hall is gone.

Lee Over Baumann

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

Gaelle Baumann and Doug Lee took a flop of {5-Spades}{3-Spades}{9-Hearts}. Baumann checked over to Lee who fired out a bet of 550. Baumann called to see the turn.

The dealer produced the {Q-Spades} on fourth street and Baumann checked for a second time. Lee continued his aggression by betting 1,150. Baumann flung out a call and the two watched as the {A-Diamonds} completed the board on the river. Baumann checked for a third time and Lee quickly tapped the table back. Baumann showed {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} but her eights were no good against Lee's {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} for a pair of queens. Lee took down the pot and now sits around 9,500. Baumann's stack has dropped to about 12,000.

England Versus France

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

Barny Boatman, winner of a World Series of Poker bracelet in 2013, opened the betting with a raise to 400 from the cutoff and Frenchman Guillaume Diaz defended his big blind with a call.

Diaz checked to Boatman on the {9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{7-Hearts} flop, Boatman made a continuation bet of 500 and Diaz called. The turn was another nine, this one the {9-Clubs} and Diaz checked again. Boatman kept his foot on the gas and made it 1,000 to go. Diaz wasn't prepared to pay and extra 1,000 and he folded.

Also on Boatman and Diaz's table is Vanessa Selbst who looks remarkably focused — as she usually is. Selbst has slightly more than starting stack with 16,800 chips.
