Kuether's Two Pair Unable to Hold Up
Level 6
: 150/300, 0 ante
We get to the table with the board reading and a pot-sized bet in front of Joe Kuether. His opponent moved the last of his chips in, for about the same amount as Kuether's bet. The cards were turned over:
Kuether: for two pair, sevens and threes
Opponent: for flush and straight draw, and top pair
Kuether was ahead but his opponent had countless outs. He would hit one of them on the river giving him a flush and Kuether would lose the pot, slipping to 10,500 in chips in the process.
