Welcome to Day 2 of Event #39: $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em. On Day 1 we saw 992 entries whittled to 205 by day’s end.

Daniel Makowsky was the overnight chip leader, stacked at 124,500. James Mackey (116,800) is right on his heels, thanks to a few big pots in the final level of play. Other notables looking to make deep runs are James Dempsey (95,000), Barny Boatman (90,000), Matt Affleck (64,200), and Jason Somerville (64,200). Also making it to Day 2 was WSOP.com qualifier Mark Darner, who won his seat online for just a $33 investment.

We are set to play 10 levels today and when the money bubble bursts, the top 117 will be walking away with a part of the $2,708,160 prize pool.

PokerNews' Live Reporting Team will be on hand to bring you Day 2 action starting at 1 p.m. local time today, so come back then as we find out together who makes the final day of Event #39.
