Jai Gao Eliminated in 24th Place ($10,308)

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

We walked up to a board of {4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{6-Spades} and Stephen Foutty had bet 35,000. Jai Gao was his heads up opponent and he thought for a moment before reraising all in. Foutty quickly made the call and turned over {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for the flush draw.

Gao had {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} and had to fade hearts or a queen, but the {8-Hearts} turn sealed his fate. The inconsequential {2-Spades} fell on the river and Foutty scored a big one, sending Gao to the showers.

Chanthabouasy Doubles and Cripples Farrell

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Niall Farrell opened to 16,000 from middle position and Steve Chanthabouasy three-bet to 35,000 from the button. Action folded back to Farrell who made the call. The flop was {j-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Spades} and Farrell checked.

Chanthabouasy bet 35,000 and Farrell raised all in. Chanthabouasy snap-called and turned over {9-}{9-} for a set of nines. Farrell flipped over {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds} and was drawing to the flush. No spade on the {3-Hearts} or the {q-Clubs} river though and Chanthabouasy takes a big one, leaving Farrell with just a few big blinds.

Ademir Cuch Eliminated in 26th Place ($10,308)

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Ken Weinstein was all in preflop with {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} but it was Ademir Cuch who was at risk with the lower stack and the pair {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}.

The board ran out {3-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{k-Spades} with the queen right there on the flop to send Cuch to the pay-out desk, shaking hands and being hugged by friends on the rail as he went.

Melius Exits

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

David Melius was on the button and shoved for his last chips. He was covered by Jason Paster in the small blind who made the call.

Melius had {a-Spades}{4-Clubs} and couldn’t believe he had run into the better {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades} of Paster.
The board ran out {10-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{5-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{j-Spades} and quads jacks certainly did the job as Melius exited in 28th place.
