Serkan Kurnaz Eliminated in 9th Place ($26,584)

Level 6 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante
Serkan Kurnaz - 9th place
Serkan Kurnaz - 9th place

Davide Suriano raised to 40,000 on the button and Serkan Kurnaz defended his big blind.

The flop fell {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Kurnaz checked to Suriano who bet 40,000. A call from Kurnaz landed the {10-Spades} turn and he led out for 90,000. Suriano called, the {A-Hearts} river completed the board and Kurnaz shoved for about 195,000.

Suriano snap-called and tabled {K-Spades}{K-Hearts} for kings full of tens, besting Kurnaz's {Q-Spades}{7-Clubs} for a straight.

Kurnaz was eliminated in ninth place, while Suriano advanced to the Round of 8 to play Ankush Mandavia.

Baumstein Calls Stein With King High

Level 14 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Sam Stein raised to 20,000 on the button and Scott Baumstein three-bet to 48,000 from the big blind.

Stein called, the flop fell {J-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Baumstein continued for 43,000. Stein called to see the {6-Hearts} turn which both players checked. The {J-Hearts} river completed the board and Baumstein checked to Stein who bet 81,000. Baumstein mulled it over for about 30 seconds before he called.

Stein showed {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a missed open-ended straight draw, while Baumstein tabled {K-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for king high to win the pot.

Colman's Bluff Fails

Level 14 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

On the {K-Clubs}{2-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop Tommy Chen bet 32,000 and Daniel Colman called in position. The turn brought the {7-Spades} and this time Chen checked to Colman who fired out 80,000. Chen called and the river brought the {A-Clubs}, on which he checked again.

Colman bet 200,000 on the river and Chen put together the call right away, but hesitated for 10 seconds before releasing the chips.

"You got it," Colman said as he flashed {9-Spades}{8-Hearts}.

Chen tabled {K-Hearts}{3-Spades} and he took down the biggest pot in this match so far.

After a crazy hand, which was played at the highest possible speed, Scott Davies was the first to advance to the semifinal. Dee Tiller limped on the button after which Davies made it 20,000 and the former responded by moving all in for right around 800,000 chips.

"Call," Davies said quickly, and all of a sudden we were looking at an enormous all in during the first level of the Round of 8.

Davies: {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}
Tiller: {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}

The board ran out {K-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Tiller was knocked out in eighth place.
