Timoshenko Turns Trips

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

On a board of {9-Spades}{3-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and a heads-up pot of around 50,000, Yevgeniy Timoshenko bet 18,000 from the big blind and was called by the player in middle position.

The {4-Diamonds} hit on the river and after a moment, Timoshenko announced all in. His opponent would make the call and muck when Timoshenko tabled {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}.

Morgan Increases Lead, Knocks Out De Silva

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Jordan Morgan raised to 9,000 and Vinicus Teixeira De Silva three-bet to 22,000. Morgan made the call and they saw the {9-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop. Both players checked and Morgan bet 15,000 after the {A-Spades} turn. His opponent from Brazil made the call and announced all in for 119,000 when the {9-Spades} river completed the board.

Morgan asked for an exact count, thought about it again for a minute and then put the chips forward. De Silva showed {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and Morgan had that beat with {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}.

Green for Greenstein

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Barry Greenstein
Barry Greenstein

There was about 40,000 in the pot already with the action on the turn and the {2-Spades}{4-Clubs}{k-Spades}{2-Diamonds} on the board. The play was heads up between Vinny Pahuja and Barry Greenstein, and Pahuja check-called the 20,000 bet from Greenstein.

The river was the {a-Hearts} and Greenstein announced he was all in when Pahuja checked. After a few moments, Pahuja tossed a couple chips in to signal a call call, and then mucked when Greenstein showed {q-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for trip twos.

De Silva's Slippery Chips

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Vinicus Teixeira De Silva just acquired his massive stack, and now he has lost a big chunk of it.

With 40,000 in the pot and the flop reading {3-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{8-Spades}, Jordan Morgan checked. De Silva bet 19,000 and Morgan raised to 40,500. De Silva quickly announced all in and Morgan snap-called.

Morgan: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
De Silva: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

The turn and river were the {k-Clubs} and {9-Hearts}, giving Morgan the huge double up. He is now sitting very comfortable behind a fortress of chips.

Pahuja Suddenly with Monster Stack

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

It had been a roller coaster ride for Vinny Pahuja all day long but he now seems to have reached an all time high in the tournament so far. A new player arrived at the table and in the second hand he played, the opponent five-bet shoved for 120,000 with {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Pahuja called with pocket kings to hold up after an event-less board.

Slippery Slope For Harwood

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

The last levels haven't been as pleasant for Loni Harwood as she now suddenly finds herself rather short stacked. She called an all in on a {6-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{10-Hearts} flop with {J-Clubs}{10-Spades} but her opponent had that beat with the {Q-Spades}{10-Clubs}. Both the {2-Spades} turn and the {7-Diamonds} river blanked and the massive tower of chips has shrunken a lot.
