Timoshenko Keeps Adding

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Yevgeniy Timoshenko is slowly getting into the grove with less than 60 players left. We just saw him min-raise the {Q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} flop from 18,000 to 36,000. Louis Laxineta was the initial bettor on the flop and he was not sure what to do.

Ultimately he ended up folding his cards and added a "you either have a queen, an eight or the flush draw" to the table conversation. Another table replied to that with the words "way to talk it out" and all playerx including Timoshenko and Laxineta laughed.

Sewell Continues Wild Ride

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Just back after the dinner break, Gary Sewell and an opponent got their stacks in preflop with {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} versus {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and the pocket pair of Sewell held up on the {J-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}.

It has been a roller coaster ride for Sewell, who was down to 7,000, back up to 200,000 and down again to 10,000. For now he is back to just under average.

In the last hand before the dinner break, according to Vinny Pahuja, he and Barry Greenstein were involved in a very large pot.

Pahuja stated, on a flop of {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-}, Greenstein raised a 10,000 bet from Pahuja to 35,000. Pahuja then three-bet shoved all in and Greenstein made the call for his tournament life.

Pahuja: {k-Spades}{9-Spades}
Greenstein: {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

Pahuja's pair of nines had faded an open-ended straight flush draw and eliminated Greenstein.
