Blankenship and Ngu on the Rail

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Jason Johnson raised to 12,000 and then called the all in of Jessica Ngu for about 50,000 in chips with {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}. Ngu needed help with {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} but was already drawing dead after the {J-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}{9-Clubs} turn. The {Q-Spades} river completed the board and Ngu headed to the payout desk.

Nathaen Blankenship hit the rail as well and Loni Harwood said in table chat that "he played the hand perfectly." He referred to chip leader Jordan Morgan and the latter scored the knockout with {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts} versus {J-Spades}{J-Clubs} on the {5-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades}{A-Spades} board.

Ageloff Likes the Number 3

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Brandon Ageloff just won a large three-way all in pot. In just his third event of the series. Now cashing in all three.

According to Ageloff, he opened to 10,000 and then a preflop raising war ended with a four-bet shove by a smaller stack, a five-bet shove by a bigger stack, and Ageloff calling behind, putting both players at risk.

Ageloff: {j-}{j-}
Yammin: {a-}{k-}
Laxineta: {a-}{k-}

The board ran out {7-}{7-}{4-}{2-}{8-}, and Ageloff's pocket pair of jacks held to eliminate both players.

Marquez Doubles

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Hector Marquez three-bet shoved his stack in the middle and a classic race was on when the initial raiser called.

Marquez: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

The board ran out {6-Spades}{2-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and the black tens held. "These are critical times now," another player at the table commented, noticing that the tournament is down to the last five tables. "You have to win your flips."

"Yeah. You just need to be lucky now," Marquez agreed.

Shelton Runs Out of Chips

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Michael Shelton was down to only 30,000 chips and three-bet shoved all in with {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}. Joshua Evans made the call with the inferior {K-Clubs}{J-Spades} but hit a jack and then completed a flush on the {9-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} board.

Iarussi And Spittles Add Chips

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

We didn't catch the full action between Yevgeniy Timoshenko and Joseph Iarussi but the pot was already about 100,000. The {6-Hearts}{10-Spades}{A-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Spades} board was already complete and Timoshenko showed the {A-Hearts}{9-Spades}.

It was only second best to the {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} of Iarussi though and Louis Laxineta suddenly stood up and cheered. Apparently he was tempted to make a move and go all in preflop with the {A-}{5-}, which would have sent him to the rail.

As far as Ryan Spittles is concerned, the Brit continued his grind. He bet 14,000 on a {2-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} flop and then called the 21,000 of his opponent on the {4-Clubs} turn. Both players then checked the {9-Spades} river and Spittles took down the pot with {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}.

Spittles Chips Up

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

A player pushed his short stack all in and Ryan Spittles pushed all in over the top. He turned over {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and was ahead of the {4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} of the at-risk player. "Oh, I've got the diamonds," he said when he saw that he had counterfeited the flush chances of his opponent.

The flop was {5-Spades}{7-Clubs}{j-Hearts} and the short stack had made a pair to pull ahead. The turn was the {10-Diamonds} and added the gutshot to Spittles' outs. The river card was the {q-Spades} and Spittle made the better pair, eliminating his opponent. "Unlucky," he said in consolation.

Marquez Flops a Double

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Hector Marquez put himself at risk, calling a preflop shove from a player to his immediate right.

Marquez: {a-Diamonds}{4-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}

The dealer fanned out a flop of {q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Marquez took the lead with a pair of fours. The turn and river {9-Spades}{3-Hearts} changed nothing and marquez scored the double up.
