Glantz Tank-Folds

Level 16

No-Limit Hold'em

John Hennigan raised to 25,000 from the button and then called when Matt Glantz three-bet to 85,000 from the big blind. The {a-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop saw Hennigan call a bet of 80,000 and both players checked the {2-Hearts} turn. When the {5-Spades} completed the board on the river, Glantz checked and Hennigan quickly bet 200,000. Glantz hit the tanks for about two minutes before releasing his hand.

Benson Done In by Burr's Kings

Level 16
Gary Benson
Gary Benson

No-Limit Hold'em

Australian Gary Benson raised to 23,000 under the gun and action folded to Melissa Burr, who three-bet to 72,000 from the small blind. The big blind folded, Benson instantly moved all-in for 450,000 total and Burr hit the tank. She tanked a bit before making the call, and the tabled ribbed her a bit for not calling faster with the hand that she had.

Burr: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Benson: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

The {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop gave Burr a hammerlock on the hand with middle set, and the {Q-Spades} turn left Benson drawing dead. The meaningless {3-Hearts} was put out on the river to make it official, and Benson exited the tournament in 18th place.

Zhou Busts Steicke

Level 16
David Steicke
David Steicke

2-7 Triple Draw

Chun Lei Zhou raised from early position and then called when David Steicke three-bet from the button. Both players drew two cards, Zhou bet, and Steicke called. Zhou stood pat, Steicke drew two, and then the latter called off his last 18,000 after the former bet.

Zhou stood pat once again and Steicke drew one to his {8-}{6-}{5-}{2-}. Unfortunately for him, he was drawing dead as Zhou had stood pat with {7-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-}.

"Yep," a resigned Steicke said before flipping over a {Q-}, gathering his things, and then exiting the tournament in 19th place.

David Oppenheim

Stud 8

David Oppenheim had the bring-in with the {3-Spades} and then called when Brock Parker completed with the {A-Clubs}. Oppenheim called bets on both fourth and fifth before calling off his remaining 34,000 on sixth.

Oppenheim: {6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} / {3-Spades}{j-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} / {3-Hearts}
Parker: {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} / {a-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} / {J-Hearts}

Oppenheim wound up with sixes and threes, but Parker caught the {J-Hearts} on seventh to make Broadway. Oppenheim bowed out in 20th place, while Parker brought his stack up to over 400K.

Online Players Square Off

Level 16

Stud 8

Chun Lei "samrostan" Zhou completed with the {7-Clubs} and Elior "Crazy Elior" Sion called with his {4-Diamonds}. Sion proceeded to check-call bets on fourth through sixth streets before leading out on seventh, which Zhou called.

Zhou: {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} / {7-}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{6-Hearts} / {x-}
Sion: {4-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{4-Spades}{7-Spades} / {a-Spades}{2-Spades}{3-Spades}

Sion held a flush and a 7-4-3-2-A low, and that proved good enough to scoop the pot.

"Odd_Oddsen" Done and Dusted

Level 16
Ola Amundsgard
Ola Amundsgard

Stud 8

We picked up the action on sixth street when Robert Mizrachi bet and online superstar Ola "Odd_Oddsen" Amundsgard called. Amundsgard got the last of his chips in after receiving seventh street and Mizrachi had him at risk.

Amundsgard: {3-Spades}{7-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} / {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{7-Spades}
Mizrachi: {5-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Spades}{a-Diamonds} / {3-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{3-Hearts}

Amundsgard ended with kings and sevens, but it wasn't quite good enough as Mizrachi made aces and threes with an 8-5-4-3-A low. Mizrachi scooped the pot and Amundsgard found himself on the rail short of the money.
