Negreanu Hunts

Level 12 : 100/100, 800 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

After losing a few pots early, Daniel Negreanu appears to have righted the ship.

When one shorty shoved in front of him for a little more than 12,000, he made it 25,000 and forced folds from the rest of the table. Turns out Negreanu's {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} was up against {a-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and easily held on the {k-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} board to push him up the leaderboard a little and send his opponent to the cage.

Happy Hellmuth

Level 12 : 100/100, 800 ante

Now that Phil Hellmuth has a decent stack he is in full flow with his confidence high. He has towers of black T100 chips and declared he liked the feel of all those chips and didn’t want to color up until he had the chip lead.

Hellmuth wandered over to the next table where Daniel Negreanu was sitting and said it would sure be something if they both made the final table, or even better if they were to get heads up.

“We’ve never played heads up.” Negreanu confirmed. There’s a long was to go yet though.

Sabat Sunk

Level 12 : 100/100, 800 ante

Eddy Sabat is out and after doing the dirty deed, Daniel Negreanu has crested the 100,000-chip mark.

Sabat shoved his last 7,900 in after a couple of limps, including Negreanu. Both players called, but when the {j-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop brought a check from the first one, Negreanu made it 9,000. The caller folded and Negreanu turned over {j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}.

Sabat's {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} whiffed the {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} end to it all.

Negreanu Ho II

Level 13 : 100/100, 1,000 ante
Maria Ho
Maria Ho

Daniel Negreanu and Maria Ho continue to mix it up on the felt. She called a 4,800-chip bet on a {6-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop and the two went heads-up to the {9-Spades} turn.

Negreanu checked this time, but called when Ho made it 6,800. He checked again on the {2-Spades} river and Ho made it 10,600. Once again, Negreanu called, but was sad to see his {j-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} had been outdrawn on the turn and the river as Ho's {7-Spades}{8-Spades} made first a straight then a flush.

Soshnikov Survives

Level 13 : 100/100, 1,000 ante

Ivan Soshnikov called the last of his 3,400 stack off with and “any two cards” hand {7-Spades}{5-Clubs} and gave a little smile when he saw he was facing {10-Hearts}{5-Spades}.

He caught a break though when the board ran out {q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs} to double up and he was able to fold his next hand to look for a better spot.

Bomber Braband

Level 13 : 100/100, 1,000 ante

Max Silver called a preflop raise of 4,200 from Tom Braband and they went to a flop of {10-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}.

Silver checked and called a bet of 4,300 from Braband and they went to the turn {k-Spades}. Another check from Silver and this time he faced a bet of 6,700. Once more he called and the final card was the {7-Clubs}.

Braband went for a big 19,000 bet when it was checked to him. Siler thought for over a minute, checking his hole cards a couple of times before folding and giving Braband another decent pot to add to his pile.
