Gallin Beats Wolansky Twice

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Steven Wolansky's having a great summer so far, as he won his first bracelet in the $1,500 No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw. Today however has not been great, because Wolansky just lost back-to-back hands versus Matthew Gallin.

On the first hand the flop read {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} when Gallin bet from the small blind and Wolansky opted to raise from the big blind. Gallin called and the turn brought the {3-Diamonds}. Gallin checked this time, Wolansky bet and he was check-raised. Wolansky called, and did so as well on the {4-Clubs} river. Gallin tabled {J-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and with a flush he took down this pot.

The very next hand Gallin raised from the button and Wolansky three-bet from the small blind. Gallin called and did so as well when Wolansky bet on the {10-Hearts}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop.

The turn was the {K-Spades} and Wolansky bet again, Gallin raised and the bracelet winner called. The river was the {9-Clubs} and both players checked. Wolansky showed {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts} but that was not enough against Gallin's {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

Gallin took down back-to-back pots and he's now back up over the starting stack after starting with very little chips.
