Vitaly Lunkin

Vitaly Lukin, winner of the $40,000 No-Limit Hold'em tournament at the 2009 WSOP, has just been knocked out.

First Lunkin was granted another chance when he was all in holding {8-}{5-} versus Shaun Deeb's {Q-}{10-}. The board ran out {J-Clubs}{9-}{3-}{10-}{Q-} to give the Russian pro a straight, but he still only had 2,100 chips.

On the next hand Paul Mannoni raised and Lunkin called all in from the small blind. Kerry Welsh called from the big blind and the flop brought {4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}. Mannoni called a bet from Welsh and the turn was the {7-Hearts}. Welsh bet again and Mannoni called.

The river was the {J-Hearts} and Mannoni folded when Welsh bet again. Welsh showed {Q-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and he knocked out Lunkin who showed {Q-Spades}{5-Diamonds}.
