Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

On a {7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} when Yakov Hirsch checked it was Kenny Shei who bet. Hirsch check-raised and Shei called, after which the turn brought the {7-Hearts}.

Hirsch bet on the turn and Shei called. The river was the {2-Hearts} and Hirsch fired again, only to get called by Shei's {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}. Hirsch mucked and Shei took this pot down.

One For Mikail

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

While on the bubble Mikail Tulchinskiy just picked up a pot. The board read {Q-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Spades}{8-Clubs} when Paul Mannoni bet and his Russian opponent called.

The river was the {3-Spades} and Tulchinskiy called another bet. Mannoni showed {8-Hearts}{5-Hearts} but that was not enough versus Tulchinskiy's {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

George Danzer
George Danzer

George Danzer, the current leader in the World Series of Poker Player of the Year race, has just been knocked out two spots away from the money. Danzer had been short for quite a while and he just ended all in on the turn with the board showing {J-Clubs}{10-Spades}{6-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}.

Danzer turned over {A-}{9-} and he was drawing dead against Bill Chen's {K-}{Q-}. The river was the {7-Spades} and Danzer left the tournament in 20th place.
