Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
Ronnie Bardah
Ronnie Bardah

Ronnie Bardah, who final tabled the $5,000 Limit Hold'em last year, was down a bit but he just managed to chip up nicely.

Bardah raised under the gun and Jeff Tompson three-bet from the button. Bardah four-bet and Thompson called. The flop came down {Q-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Bardah bet, Thompson called. The turn was the {7-Clubs} and Bardah bet, Thompson raised and Bardah called.

The river was the {A-Spades} and Bardah bet all in for 5,000. Thompson called with {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds} and Bardah showed {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} as he had rivered the ace for his survival.

The Pace Slows Down

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

We're down to 24 players with a 152,500-chip average and just six eliminations away from the money. The pace has slowed down considerably and the remaining players will take a 60-minute dinner break in about 14 minutes.

A Big One For Olson

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

David Olson raised under the gun, Yakov Hirsch three-bet from the cutoff and David Steicke four-bet from the small blind. Both Olson and Hirsch called after which the flop rolled out {K-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}.

Steicke bet the flop, Olson called and Hirsch folded.

On the turn the {Q-Hearts} hit and Steicke bet again, Olson called and the river was the {7-Diamonds}. Both players checked and Steicke tabled {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}, which was no good against Olson's {K-Spades}{10-Spades}.

Tazelaar Rivered and Out

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
Justin Tazelaar
Justin Tazelaar

Justin Tazelaar was all in for his final chips and up against Yakov Hirsch. We caught the tail end of this hand in which the Dutchman showed {A-}{10-} versus Hirsch's {A-Spades}{5-Spades} on a flop with two spades.

The river brought a five, which gave Hirsch a winning pair, and Tazelaar hit the rail empty handed.
