Cantu bet 15,000 and Beach called. The turn was the {a-Hearts} and Cantu led again for 18,000. Beach raised to 38,500 and Cantu thought for a moment before releasing his hand.

Koon Continues to Climb

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Jason Koon started the day with less than 15,000 chips and is now behind stacks worth 108,000.

This week hasn’t been kind to Koon. We heard him chatting with some of his table mates that he fired two bullets at the Bellagio $100,000 rebuy and didn't reach the money, and then bubbled the $25,300 satellite to the Big One for One Drop.

Hopefully, this tournament will see Koon run better. The $405,428 first-place prize may better the week for him.

Dewald Dropped

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Paul Dewald has been sent to the rail by the seemingly unstoppable Xiao Peng, who now has 204,000 chips.

Dewald moved all in and Peng called. Dewald flipped over {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} and Peng the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}. The ladies of Peng were kind to her and they held on a {J-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{7-Spades} board to bust Dewald in 66th place.

The following players were recently eliminated and received $3,942 each:

Jaffee Splashes Around, Doubles Opponent

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Jared Jaffe
Jared Jaffe

Matthew Reed raised to 3,500 and Jared Jaffee three-bet to 8,200 from the button. The player in the big blind four-bet to 15,000, Reed folded and Jaffee made the call. The flop was {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and Jaffee's opponent moved all in for 18,800. Jaffee called and tabled {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs} versus the {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} of his opponent.

The board completed {q-Spades}{3-Hearts} and the flush was good for a double. Jaffee's big stack barely took a dent, though, as he is still over 300,000.
