Cristos Mucks and Ducks

Level 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

Jordan Cristos opened a couple of times way above the normal bet sizing and then folded to three-bets. In his last hand, he made it 2,200 to go preflop and Damian Salas called to see the {A-}{5-}{8-} flop. Salas called the 1,100 bet and then raised from 1,100 to 2,300 on the {5-} turn.

Another eight completed the river and Salas moved all in with {8-}{10-}. Cristos was unable to beat that and mucked his cards, being eliminated as a result.

Hennigan Short, Laxineta Loses Some

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

John Hennigan is down to less than 10 big blinds after paying off the {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts} for top two pair of an opponent on the river.

Louis Laxineta had an opponent all in and at risk for 23,400 while putting him on {A-}{Q-}. That would have been a flip for his pocket eights, but instead the opponent turned over {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}. There was no help on the {2-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{9-Hearts} board and the hand cost Laxineta about one third of his stack.
