Eisen Climbing Back Into Contention

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Maurice Hawkins opened for 75,000 and was called by Brandon Eisen. Hawkins would check on the {Q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop and call an 85,000 bet from Eisen. Hawkins would lead out for a smallish bet of 45,000 on the {5-Diamonds} turn and get called by Eisen.

The river was the {2-Hearts} and Hawkins bet larger this time for a total of 275,000. Eisen thought about it for a second and then called. Hawkins showed {K-Spades}{Q-Spades} for a pair of queens with a king kicker but he was one notch behind Eisen who held {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}.

Tureniec Doubles Through Balazs

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Arpad Balazs raised to 60,000 and Michael Tureniec three-bet to 150,000 out of the small blind. Balazs called and they saw the {8-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{10-Diamonds} flop. Tureniec checked, Balazs bet 205,000 and the Swede moved all in.

It was for 580,000 in total and Balazs called off, tabling the {K-Spades}{Q-Spades} for the open ended straight draw. Tureniec was ahead with {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and the {K-Hearts} turn was no help for the Hungarian, because it gave Tureniec the straight. The {9-Clubs} river left him short on just about 14 big blinds.

Xiao Peng

Xiao Peng has had a roller coaster day and that grind just came to an end after she moved all in preflop for her last 370,000 with {K-Spades}{7-Spades}. Jackduyph Duong made the call with {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and stayed ahead on the {10-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{3-Spades} board to increase his lead.

Jose Carlos Garcia Eliminated in 19th Place ($19,948)

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Jose Carlos Garcia
Jose Carlos Garcia

Jackduyph Duong opened to 70,000 and Jose Carlos Garcia raised that to 180,000. It was folded back to Duong who put out an even 400,000 four-bet. Garcia moved all in and was snap-called by Duong who had picked up aces again with {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs} while Garcia had {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. The flop came {A-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} moving Duong even further into the lead.

There's always a sweat though and the {2-Diamonds} on the turn would give Garcia a flush draw. The river paired the board with the {3-Hearts}, however, and a relieved Duong took down the pot while eliminating Garcia in 19th place. The tournament is now being combined into two tables. We'll have the seating assignments and updated chip counts shortly.

Three Double Ups

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Eric Baldwin bet 80,000 on the {2-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{9-Spades} flop and Wladislaw Eckhardt called to see the {6-Spades} turn. Baldwin continued for 155,000 and after some consideration, Eckhardt moved all in with {K-}{7-}. Baldwin called off for his last 595,000 in total with {7-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and the {10-Clubs} river blanked to put both players at an almost even stack.

Kevin Eyster moved all in from early position for 330,000 and Xiao Peng moved all in from the button.

Peng: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Eyster: {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}

The {3-Diamonds} right in the window was no good news for Peng and the rest of the board ran out {9-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}, making her trips kings the second best hand.

Brandon Eisen was all in for his last 300,000 with {A-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and faced the {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} of Jose Carlos Garcia. Eisen scored a fortunate double up on the {7-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{J-Spades} board.

Garcia Doubles Through Duong

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Jackduyph Duong opened to 70,000 and one seat to his left, Jose Carlos Garcia moved all in for 380,000 total. It was folded back to Duong who decided to make the call after getting a count of Garcia's stack.

Garcia was ahead with {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} against Duong's {A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. The board would run out {Q-Spades}{10-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and Garcia would double up to 850,000 in chips.

Peng Doubles Through Eyster

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Xiao Peng moved all in for 403,000 and Kevin Eyster asked for a count from the button seat before making the call. The two players in the blinds folded and it was once again a flip.

Peng: {A-Spades}{10-Spades}
Eyster: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}

Lady luck was on the side of the last remaining woman in the field as the board ran out {J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} to give Peng a double up.

On table 447, Theodore Dricsoll attempted a semi-bluff on the {4-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} river and bet 110,000. Keanu Tabali called with ]As3h] and was good against the {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} of Driscoll.
